I have a question. Will this get rid of the 25ms limitation?
In meaning, you can only join servers if you have less than 25ms. I don't know if this is caused by LIVE or not though.

With the xlive.dll you can no longer use the cheathappens trainer... which wouldn't be a big deal, but their trainer has the goods for real, unlimited health, ammo, money and now removes wanted level.

Need a new lua script to do all that for us!!!! anybody voluntering? sp

Good tool, it's very useful.

However I can't seem to get plugins working correctly, I've got this code:

Seems LoadLibrary isn't doing what it's supposed to? MS suggests that you don't call it in DllMain, but I've called it there successfully before.

EDIT:

It's because when your calling LoadLibrary your only passing the name of the file, not the relative path. It works fine as long as I rename it to a .asi and put it in the main directory.

Plugins folder should now work as designed.

Also, fixed crashes in XP.

@listener: This tool deserves a pin... smile.gif IMO, there could be a ReadMe loading feature coded in the hook, which replaces that "Guide" menu with a new one which loads a .ini file's content... it would be nice, but I don't know if it's possible. If it is, then mod makers here could write small descriptions and user manuals... that way we wouldn't have to alt+tab out the game to see which key is binded to a command via another script or hook.

So yeah.. this tool is cool smile.gif

if you could please post a link to the last version. this new one crashes my game without fail everysingle time. get all the way till it's about to load me into apartment and crash 11/11 times now


vista ultimate x64 never had problems with xliveless till this newest one. thx.

Really strange. I'm using vista ultimate x64 for my development laptop, and unable to reproduce bug.

Which file did you started: GTAIV.exe or LaunchGTAIV.exe ?

if i use the launchgtaIV.exe I can't even get the game to start crashes instantly.

if I use the gtaIV.exe I can get all the way to the loading at the bottom of the screen. When it says loading and says the last missions name.

For the record I'm also using Alice with the superman mod. I'll try removing that. ANd I'm using a moddified launchgtaIV.exe by 1911. But I can try the original.

Let me give it a whirl.

EDIT: Still crashes with original .exe's in place and no alice in folder.

I'm attemping to launch from the gtaiv.exe the launchgtaiv.exe tells me to put in disc...... which is abit of a problem. No mods or anything this was a clean gtaIV folder.

BTW having trouble with that link getting .92 to download.

must be. Yeah I think I'll roll with .92 instead of the new one. Just cause I use the no-cd instead of actual "purchased" game.... until I can afford it! hehe

Anyone have a xliveless-0.92 version they can mail me? I need one and the links seem to not work anymore.

... Then I found out that once I save a game while using XLiveLess the saves will no longer work with the old XLive account I created them on. So now this is useless because my saves require that I need the XLiveLess DLL to play my saves at all (Please check hard drive error when loading otherwise). Just great.

If only someone could just find a way to edit a save file to work with any account then there wouldn't be a need to hassle with copying ACCOUNT files, hex editing XLive files, or using custom DLLs angry.gif

Can we at least enable LAN multiplayer mode? Seems a bit harsh disabling that mode as it won't conflict with people that cheat. Or can you not have LAN mode without Rockstar Games Social running?

Yesterday, I bought new HDD, installed clean Vista ultimate 64, copy the game from the old HDD - and it works without any crashes.

However, I get game crashed, when I tried to run it from the old HDD - with tracing enabled, UAC turned on and without right to write in the game folder.

XLiveLess has been tested with "retail" Launcher and with RAZOR's one.
Making no-dvd plugin is simple but illegal.

It's possible, but complicated enough.
We can redirect all TCP/IP related functions (xlive_1..xlive_66) to WinSock32 (instead xlive), but all match-making functions (creating network game, finding host, etc) must be implemented from scratch

Checksum of the savefile encrypted with live users's key. Only "real" xlive.dll can calculate correct checksum, so you need patch to load edited/non-xlive savegame.
