so is there a no rain mod out there somewhere? i want just no rain but still have the 24 hour timecycle. the one mod out there seems to make it always midday.

Find and Change :

"rain.NumberParticles 16284"
"rain.UseLitShader 1.00"
"rain.gravity.z -0.98"

to

"rain.NumberParticles 1"
"rain.UseLitShader 0.00"
"rain.gravity.z 0.00"

Tested? Does it work? Remove the rain or what does it do?

Seems logical to me Gonne test it, hate the rain my self. The road effect is nice though...

yes it removes rain only.. Not smoke particals or road reflections. Only rain particals.

well i guess what i'm really looking for is something that will make the game always "sunny" but with the night cycle.

GTA4 won't start anymore once i use that file... it loads, just won't get to the main menu, i can see that i'm sign on to live and stuff but that's it...(and i am using the magicIV patch)

any text editor such as notepad.exe on windows

also if you change file in the game folder with out patching gta
the game will probably not run anymore..
search the forum for an extra addon that lets you edit files, if needed
