Finally the sims3 doesn't constrain you to your house and use loading screens! Definately can't wait for it to come out.

Time to reinstall sims2, been meaning to do that for a while now.

Just had a spin on the Apartment life expansion. Its a hell of a lot easier making friends first of living in that kind of place rather than living in a house. An hour isn't really enough to see what else is to come though.
I have to agree I got to a certain point after playing it for so long that I'd get more angry/stressed out if the Sims life didn't go according to what I wanted rather than my own.

I always get annoyed with my sims when they start to stop looking after themselves and piss the floor.

I hate when your Sims start doing things you don't want them to, i.e. chatting up the maid while married, prompting you to turn free will off, thereby f*cking up the whole family.
There's no good setting for free will. I want it so I control one Sim, and just occasionally have to check on the other ones. But no, either they do things you don't want them to, or you have to look after too many Sims, all the time.
Make Sim-specific free will, dammit!

Thats exactly why I hate having families. It would just be great if you could get married have as many kids as you want and not have to worry about them f*cking up their own lives because of this. I know in the apartment life one, if you have a roommate you don't have to worry about controlling them. They do it themselves.

Once when I played Sims 2 my sims just had a baby. And right after that the mother was hit my a meteorite
It was quite shocking really. That lady had to take the baby away cause no one could take care of it. When I say no one I mean me!

I only ever played the first one. I'd always get bored though. It was always too hard to paint walls, and floors and crap like that.

I'm just getting a new Sony Vaio laptop, but it's not for gaming. If it runs sims 3 I may just pick it up again.

I do like the sims 2 but after a while it does get stressful. And i never ply the game without cheats.

So many memories.. Me & My sister bought every expansion packs for the first game. Cost me a bundle too since every CD was original. I thought that a pirated version wouldn't do justice for this game.

I remembered building a boathouse in a middle of a lake (water tool) then just setting fire to it in the middle of the night.

I've always been a Sims fan. When I started playing Sims 2 I was hooked! The first family I played as was the Lotharios, Don was a player with Dina and Nina! I think I'll be hooked with this one as Bella is a kid again with Mortimer as this is a prequel to Sims 1 so it sounds great!

Yeah its a prequle. But I've honestly never played the sims families already made. Well I lie, I'll sometimes go with a sim family already made, f*ck up their sh*t then make my own sim. And I'm quite happy buying the expansions (well I have all of them now) since there pretty cheap off Amazon. Although, thinking back to the first Sims game I know I've threw a lot of money into the series.

To be honest, you'd be better off getting the PC version, especially after the abomination that was the console version of the Sims 2. It'll most likely be severely watered down

Most likely thing is my laptop wouldn't meet the requirements

Also, if EA got their arses in gear I could see suprising things for the console version.

Hopefully it would be different! The Sims has always been better on the PC than on consoles and handhelds.

Man, I loved that Newbie house, was it Bob Newbie and his hot wife? Seriously, the guy looked like Scroobius Pip and he scored a woman like that, Christ. Anyway, yeah, that was pretty much the only house I played on for about 2 weeks after I got the original. Then I moved on to the Goth household and redecorated their house because it looked like sh*t, all of it. Then the girl (Cassandra or something) got shipped off to military school for doing badly so Mortimer and Bella could have rampant, tantric sex all day long.
