For me it works for a bit but when I alt tab and come back the textures are all messed up again sad.gif
Apparently there is no permanent fix for this until the patch comes out I guess.

Hey. Installed the game today and tried playing it, but I was unsuccessful. Tried running this program in the background but didn't help at al..

That's how the game looks when I start playing New Game:

Did you get the 180.84 drivers? That's what fixed it for me. Except my problem wasn't as bad as yours.

First of all, I have all the latest drivers available. ALL!!

actually I got the game to work pretty well now. The ChacheBooster didn't help much (I have 3GB RAM) and I can actually play the game pretty fine without the program running in the bg. However, I still have nasty texture pop-ups. That mostly happens when I move my camera fast (ex. do 180 degrees turn). My FPS usually stays ~21 (not too high but playable).

isnt it sad that you are well above the requirements and i am quite below them and we are getting the same performance?? that says something about this game.. hopefully patch #2 fixes more than #1 did, i dont even completely believe #1 did anything but make it worse...

very sad..very sad indeed...patch #2 has to be bigger than ~30MB in order to fix issues like these...

P.S. did your new RAM gave you better performance?

yes it did! i can play without CacheBoost or Minimem and have all my textures! also changed out my CPU to a P4 Prescott 3.00GHz with 1mb L2 cache.. and im using the new 181.00 Forceware drivers, seem to be able to play pretty nice now.
i have turned the gfx up to:

1024x768,
Medium,
Medium,
Draw Distance at 0 (who needs it!),
Detail Distance at 32,
Vehicle Density at 5 (traffic is an issue during missions anyway),
Shadows are at 0 (cant tell nor care).

game is completely playable now, i average between 18 and 30 fps, usually in the mid-upper 20s. (and using Xfire's ingame FPS counter, my bro's Core 2 Quad, 4gigs RAM, GTX260 is reporting in the 20s on highest at 1440x900). it seems like in this game 20fps is actually 30, and 30 is more like 40 or 50..

anyway, sorry for the really late response!

idk how many times it has to be said, Quadros are not for gaming. so expect problems. they are for CAD and other photo and video needs, not gaming.

Thanks for the idea. It works great now. No more disappearing textures..Jus slowed the game down drastically. But much better than before. I'll just have to upgrade my RAM.

Also sometimes the car accelerates by itself and I cannot reverse or stop

EDIT: Also the camera goes crazy shaking around but I don't know if that is part of the problem because it stops after a while
