I tried to create a shortcut with this directory :"C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\LaunchGTAIV.exe" -norestrictions -nomemrestrict -novblank

Yep, I just got this crash for the first time, maybe every now and again you need to save, quit, restart, continue. Crap, but will save losing missions.

I had this problem but fixed it by uninstalling RivaTuner. No more GTAIV.exe errors. If you don't have RivaTuner you might want to see if any other third party software is conflicting. Turn it off or uninstall them.

You realize this is a year and a quarter old topic, right?

@gtawerdo, that usually happens if you get the "special" version of the game. wink.gif Just buy it; like Stooopid said, it's only like $10.
