Driver... new driver for ATI. You need the new 8.11 driver that probably will solution your problem. I even don't know why your comp has such low fps... update driver!

Good question, I have a PC similar to yours, and still get around the same FPS as you. And I've tried both the 8.11 driver and the new 8.12 beta driver. No real difference to speak of.

I run the game at 1920 x 1080 with both settings at Medium and the other #'d settings in the 20's and shadows at 5, and my benchmark is always in the 20fps area. This game is just poorly coded, period.

Everyone went crazy about Crysis and its requirements, but I can easily run Crysis better than I can run this game. And at higher settings. With Anti-Aliasing.

I was having the same problem on a very similar rig. I ran Driver Cleaner Pro (sadly it's no longer free) and it was fine. However this new Driver Sweeper should do the trick. http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/ If you don't know what it does, it just removes all the crap that's left behind when you remove or update a driver that can cause a conflict.

gr3yh0und Your cpu usage is realy strange. In windows xp quad cpu around 40-50% is fine in vista it shuld be much more.
Example i am runing quad cpu q9450 3.8ghz and cpu usage is around 70%.
Because for this game you dont need very fast video card 4850 shuld be plenty. Strong Cpu is more important.
Your ram frekvency?

What exactly is the model of your video card. Just because it's 512MB doesn't mean it's good.

This one is a longshot but given the cpu reports it might at least be worth looking into, in your control panel, check to make sure that power options(in classic view) are set to high performance.
