How to make Claude crouch? I know that it is possible but how?

I don't think that is possible at all (instead of some advanced mod what hacks into running game). This is cop animation after all, and there is no crouch-moving animation.

It might be that one mod GTA LC. I would like to figure out how for GTA 3 to use the crouch animation, and edit the main.scm for claude to do the animation.

I think that it's edited weapons.dat file. I'll try to mod that

Well GTA games seems to always treat the player and NPC's almost exactly the same. The player could do all pedestrian animations and vice versa. It's just a matter of hacking about.

Actually there IS a crouch animation in gta3 but you can't use it. I have seen the polecemans crouching.

I was changing some staff in weapon.dat and I discovered how to enable crouching.

But it's only available by shooting with pistol:


Open weapon.dat with Notepad and you'll see this on the Colt45 line:

Colt45         INSTANT_HIT 30.0  250  350  12   25  -1.0 -1.0  -1.0   -1.0 0.30 0.0 0.09 WEAPON_hgun_body    RBLOCK_Cshoot   8  15 9  9  173 192

Replace "WEAPON_hgun_body" with "RBLOCK_Cshoot", save the modified file and enjoy crouching

i dont know if this is a dead topic or something, but the answer is GTA3 XBOX Version Mod 1.1.5. enabling:

- Car shop script. Now you can legally buy car with any color you like
- Purchasing property script. More ways to spend money and more places to save game
- Crouching script. Now Claude has crouching ability

Apparently, it's the "Sub-mission" button, but I can never figure out how to get the piece of crap to work. I wouldn't recommend downloading it.
