Call it an expert opinion - 13 years of using various browsers.
Like I said in its current state (which isn't saying much at this point), Chrome is far from a "fully functional" browser. It appears aimed at someone who is new to the Internet. | 13 years of using different browsers? Doesn't really mean much. 12 years here though, before you spout anything off. I'm in no way new to the internet, and have definitely not stayed 'nub' at it, however thusfar Chrome is so far beyond what I expected that I'm hella surprised. My earlier post highlights what sh*te I'm unimpressed with, but even on my rig it's running noticeably better than Firefox, minus my adored extensions and greasemonkey scripts.
Giving Chrome an extensive run, personally.

I'm sorry, but how in the name of jebus can you be an experienced user of a browser? Moreover, how can you be a noob? Either you know how to use the internet (i.e-everyone on this forum), or you don't (i.e- the elderly, infants, etc). Can being able to tweak your browser be called experience in browsing? Or having used more than the two current major competitors (IE and Firefox) called experience? I think not. It's certainly experience in the use of browsers in your arsenal, but to say you're an expert at browsing is like saying you're the bees-knees at walking. Furthermore, time spent using the internet doesn't count for sh*t, I know there are people who've been using it (regularly) for far longer than I, yet I know more about their browsers than they do. And vice-versa. PS- "Reviewing" a just released BETA version of a browser, then saying it's not fully functional in comparison to current browsers is like reviewing a car that has nothing but a chassis, engine, and a lawnchair for a seat, then saying it's not very comfortable to drive.

Well i don't know what features are missing from the beta, but usually a beta version has most of the main features but still needs some bugs worked out: | QUOTE (From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_release_life_cycle#Beta)) | Beta level software generally includes all features, but may also include known issues and bugs of a less serious variety. |
So in relation to your metaphor, it's like a car that is ready to drive but is missing the little fuzzy dice on the rear view mirror. Ok, i exaggerate, but my point is that if the beta doesn't have features like extensions (called "add-ons" in FF) and an overly minimalist toolbar, then the first non-beta release won't have those things either. And i wouldn't consider ArcAngel with his 13 years of browsing to have an "expert" opinion, but it is an "experienced" one. And i have to agree with him.
