I just killed Stefan this morning, it was quick and easy, but still pretty fun...

I left the Bohan safehouse at about 18:30, after confirming the marks location with the map. I parked my black Voodoo in an alleyway between Folsom and Switch street, and continued on foot to Grand Boulevard. I passed by the marks location, but I didn't see him hanging around, however I did notice a prostitute in one of the doorways smoking a cig. I crossed the street in search of a lookout point, but when I turned around, the hooker was no longer there, and a young hood had taken her place in the doorway. I assumed this was Stefan.

I watched this guy for a couple minutes, then crossed back over to take him out (at about 23:00). I passed by once, ducked into an alleyway, and pulled my knife. I doubled back towards him, but he actually noticed me this time, yelling out in suprise (like when pedestrians see you with a firearm). However, He didn't get a chance to run, his back was against the doorway, so I layed into him with the blade, stabbing him roughly 8-9 times. Afterwards, I quickly put a 9mm bullet in his head to make sure he was dead. Then I ran through the alleyway out of the area, with no police after me.

Although it wasn't a daytime assassination, there were enough pedestrians on the street to see the mark go down, including some of the other hoods.

(PS: He didn't have any cash on him that I recall. He probably spent that hard-earned paper for his "date" with the hooker.)

Hey OdDsOcK, I remember you from the "Pimp My Ride" competition on the forums! Anywho, these are fantastic, make for a really good read; I reckon this is the sort of thing R* need to expand upon in the DLC, giving us even more dynamic sub-storylines and missions.

i have a new target who must be 'taken out'

known only to us as mr X he has been seen in conversation with known mafia assosiates and always soon after these meeting a member of the liberty city street racing club dies, this man must be taken care of before these attacks end our belovid street racing.

he was last seen in leftwood (north alderney)
he is known for standing at the bus stop outside pill pharm
the best description we have of him is that he is in late 50's, with white/dark gray hair and thick black rimed glasses he was last seen wearing a gry blazer with black trousers (pants) a white sirt and black tie

Here's another assassination mission:



Target: Steven Smith, aka, "The Operator"
Description: African American M.O.B gang member. Wears glasses with black trims, a blue baseball cap, a grey sweatshirt with a yellow and red jacket, and baggy grey sweat pants.
Location: North Holland, but has been know to run jobs for Firefly Project crews.
Backstory: Like most M.O.B members, Steven has been robbing and hustling in the streets of Holland since he was a young man, doing whatever he could to make money. After a deadly **** up during a liquor store robbery (where he and his partners killed the owner and two employees) he realized that it would be safer for him to operate behind the scenes, masterminding his own crew rather then risking his life peforming grunt work. He now controls a small crew that works for him, and has begun specializing in kidnapping and ransom jobs. One of his crew's recent jobs has ended up quite messy, and the victim's family has demanded revenge. If Steven is found with other M.O.B members, they must be dealt with as well.

Target: Kahil bin-Youssef al-Ṣûr
Description:

Location: Building next to Booth Tunnel, West of the Alderney Safehouse and on the intersection of Rand Ave and Mahesh Ave (has slanted stairs). Here's a picture:

Backstory: Long story short, it's time to create some racial profiling. A Middle-Eastern import/export group is cutting in on a client's business by bringing cheap, non-tarriffed goods into the country via illegal methods. Mr. al-Ṣûr is only a small part of this particular organization, but he's the perfect man for this task. This mission requires a specific manipulation of events.
Plan: You'll need a car bomb for this job. Upon seeing the mark, either dial 911 and call the cops beforehand or simply dive into a fistfight. If it's him, he'll fight back. Lure him into view of the officers you called or simply another cop on the street. Eventually, a cop car will collect him and the officer that arrested him. While they're distracted with putting him in the car, plant a bomb on the back of the police vehicle and blow it to hell when ready. Before we know it, subconscious persecution and profiling of Muslims will raise even more, cracking down on this gang's operations. My my, isn't paranoia sweet?

intel was spot on...found him walking towards Phil Pharmacy around 6:00 am....he walked past it and stood outside of the Squid Row right next to it and started to smoke...i walked around the area a little getting a better look and decided id use the sniper rifle from the alley across the street...i had left my car in the street when i first saw him so i had unknowlingly created a mini traffic jam and couldnt get a clear shot...i quickly ran back to him and decided i better just do it now so i whipped out the medium size machine gun and unloaded an entire clip into him sending him flopping down the pavement...cops were on me right away so i jumped in my car and made my escape fairly quickly down Panhandle St./Ave.....not very clean but he will not be disrupting any more street racing

A client wishes this man and his colleagues gone due to abuse during imprisonment. Deal with it. Any unnecessary casualties will not have consequences.
Location:
Alderney State Correctional Facility. Target is located inside the building that supervises the Prison Yard. He is usually standing in the middle with his colleagues around.
Note from Client: "This is not an easy task, the guards inside the prison are all heavily armed. I would strongly recommend taking them out from a 'suitable range' so to speak. "

I already dropped him danmark. I was lucky too. For some reason, the cops didn't spawn around him when I came for him.

So, Steven "The Operator" Smith, Kahil bin-Youssef al-Ṣûr, the two female spies, Anthony Hansen, and Sr. Lt. Simon Weli are all still available targets. Good job to MasterBlaster for taking out Mr. X, I had tried but he didn't show up.

By the way, if you guys want to keep this thread as is or evolve it into some sort of gain-rank-gain-stuff sort of thread I wouldn't mind either. Just give me your opinion.

UPDATE: The two Russian female spies have been eliminated. As said, they were on the beach taking pictures south of the pool hall. From the cliff-face right next to the road, I took them both out using a sniper. The first went down with a headshot, and the second one fled but I managed a gut shot that killed her.

Yeah, this is a cool idea. I've heard rumors of assassination side-missions in the game, but I haven't played far enough to encounter them yet. However, these custom missions work just as well.

I think this thread highlights one of GTA IV's most impressive improvements, which is the variety of clothes and accessories that are randomly generated for the pedestrians. It really does seem like every pedestrian is different, even if they share the same character mesh. Pedestrians have always played an important role in GTA, and the developers certainly deserve some credit for improving them.

Tie this in with the size and diversity of the city, and you have a huge, seemingly limitless pool of potential marks that could be posted. I could see a thread like this continuing on for months...

OdDsOcK: I think the thread is fine as it is. Although, I don't see how adding some ranking system/house rules would alter the concept of the thread in any dramatic way, having the option wouldn't hurt.
