Hey guys does MP3 play without any problem on Windows 7 without SP1? I heard that it does in some forum, but I need confirmation as the system requirements list mentions that.

Runs without a hitch for me. The game is also well optimised which is unlike Rockstar. Hopefully the same can be said for GTA V!

I'm up and just installed GTA IV PC to my Dell Optiplex GX620
At the moment, XP OS with 3GB of RAM is working on it, and I have an HT 3.4Ghz Pentium, but that will swap out for a 3.2Ghz Pentium D dual core
The system wouldn't register video with my X1300 ATI which is low profile, so I assume it could be damaged, but my ATI HD5450 fit in the slot, just not the SFF case! haha No top on it, obviously... but the thing I am wondering about is joystick calibrating my PS3 third party Power-A controller, using WinXP's control panel adjustment wizard, not sure I'm going about it right, since I'm a BIT rusty going that route

I use a wired Xbox 360 controller for many games on the PC. All my games except San Andreas recognize the controller straight away and set it up nicely.

I really wish IV was optimized better. I mean, though its gargantuan 15 GB size makes sense, I can run Left 4 Dead 2 at maximum settings with no lag; on the other hand, I can barely run IV with nearly 4 GB of RAM and a 1 GB video card. I think my only weakness is that I have a 2.1 GHz processor and I don't have the money nor money to buy another upgrade.

Can anyone recommend some FPS games set in a modern war setting (for example, the Iraq War) that has a solid single player campaign?

Exclusing the Modern Warfare games, BF3, ARMA 2 of course.

Thanks for any help. smile.gif

Edit: Btw, I just installed and played Red Alert 3. I had bought it a looong time ago but never got around to playing it and man, what an awesome game. The only thing I miss are the additional nations, but its still such a fun game.

This looks so beautiful and I never thought anything like that could be possible in real-time, it puts a tear to my eye cryani.gif

A good thing about it being in CryEngine is that modders will create vehicles for it far more easily than Rigs of Rod's Ogre engine.

^ Well, it's looking good, but still not looking realistic IMO.
The car is too "elastic", like they made out from plastic.

Anyway, been playing Bastion lately. It was awesome. Every single thing in it was superb.
It's damn challenging when you playing this game with every gods invoked. Super hard.

You should be more receptive, its borderline revolutionnary.

If I bring my laptop on holiday to Barbados, will I still be able to access the UK version of Steam?

If you have the UK version of Steam installed already, I guess.

Actually, i am. I would love to play the game and crashing the car into a messed up shape.
Just i don't like how the car looks too elastic to be called realistic, that's all.

It'd be borderline revolutionary if it'd be having the surroundings like one of the GTA games, or at least Mafia 2.

Otherwise this has been done long time ago, in Rigs of Rods.

You mean, like the new Carmageddon will have?

Ofcourse they won't be using the CryEngine as they have their own engine Beelzebub, which I hope will look better than the soft body physics. Those cars can't even split in two!

I have to disagree. Both metal and plastics react very elastically to impact- its actually extremely realistic.
