Yeah, it's coming to cater for all those GTA fans that got gutted by R* policy. I don't think SR2 will be a great game, but I do respect Volitions intent to support PC gaming in this way. It only show how R* is wrong when acting they way they are. And it will probably sell on truck loads.

Nice. How is its performance compared to the 360 version?

Currently, I'm doing CoD4 online and Oblivion. Don't really have any games that aren't like 4+ years old apart from those.

I'm "reliving" some old moments I had with Mafia. I'm also going through SA once again with SRT3 mod and "things to do in SA till you are dead" mod. There seems to be some quirks with the latter, so I'm trying to figure it out. Maybe it's just not compatible with SRT3, but they have only a few shared files, so I don't know /rant off.

SRT's pretty cool, especially when hooked up with ENB. How's "Things to do in San Andreas..."? What does it do?

ENB slows down my machine too much so I don't use it. There is a very nice car reflections mod from DexX, as an asi plugin that works well (here).

"Things To Do In San Andreas 'Till You're Dead" mod has retained the original gameplay but expanded some stuff (added car salesman missions; pizza boy missions and a lot more side missions; peds have been overhauled, cars also; daylight has been tweaked). I yet have to see most stuff. You can find some (a lot) info about it here. You can get it here.

I love it when Console fanboys start saying stuff about our PC's, Like, how they act like their console pwns because it can do HD, yet most of Today's PC's can do at least 1080, or even higher (30" screens for example).

How about some people post their specs and maybe pictures of their PC's? Mine can run Crysis on medium @ 1440x900 and I've got a 6800GS and a Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180 overclocked to 2.5Ghz, Limited by the motherboard I had to get.

So you get what, 25 FPS with that setting. You are lucky if you get more then 30 FPS with that, even though its a wonderful machine. Better then mine anyway

Behold biggrin.gif

Intel Pentium Prescott 3.0 GHz
Abit AI7 MBO
1024 Kingmax RAM
Powercolor Radeon 9800 PRO 128 MB
Antec case
400W PSU

I don't think you need any pics of that, do you? Runs Crysis on minimum smile.gif but it runs.

I was looking to upgrade (actually buy a new PC), but I just don't game that much so I failed to see the point. I like some of the older titles, so this PC suits me just fine. It's more then enough for most everyday stuff.

Any (new, decent) 24-inch monitor will blow 1080i away. Too bad I'm stuck with my "lousy" 22"... Heh. My TV only does 720p, so I'll stick to my monitor.

My PC specs are:
  • Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 2.66 GHz
  • 2 GB RAM
  • Nvidia GeForce 8600GS
  • Windows Vista
  • 19" Widescreen monitor with 1440x900 resolution
  • Blu Ray Reader
  • 1.3 TB HDD
  • 5.1 450W Surround sound

I connected Cable TV to it so it's functioning as my entertainment center so I don't need a TV.

And to answer what games I'm playing at the moment:
  • GTA: San Andreas (inc. Gostown mod)
  • Rainbow 6: Vegas 1 & 2 (1 is more fun imo)
  • Mafia (what a magnificant story)

I'm still gaming with HD-ish resolutions on a 17" true flat crt which is not even widescreen.

I don't know how many FPS, but I'm sure it's more than 30. I can't test it to see how many FPS does it really have, I uninstalled it.

A flat CRT? Wow. wow.gif Well, anything above 1280x720 is HD, so that shouldn't be hard to reach. PC monitors have had it for ages.

Flat CRT might mean the screen is flat, most crt has a curved front but the newest PC CRT has flat front.

Specs eh?

Q6600 @ 2.4GHz
3GB DDR2 667MHz RAM
8800GT 512MB (I sometimes overclock it)
2x 320GB Samsung 7200rpm HDDs in RAID0
2x 19" monitors @ 1440x900 each
Running Vista, eats anything I throw at it besides Crysis which still performs reasonably well at max settings @ 1440x900. smile.gif

Heh, first, the enviroment is more massive than the one of crysis, and euphoria takes a whole ammount of memory, together with the Real-time damage. And the graphics are better than Crysis, so you'll need a f*cking awesome PC to run GTAIV.

Also, the game is not even announced for PC, so why the hell would you want to make a thread already?
