Pink Floyd are incredible. They're easily my all time favourite band.

Favorite albums include (no particular order): The Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, Wish You Were Here, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, The Wall, Meddle. I haven't acctually thoroughly listened to any albums apart from those so I'm sure I'd be able to add them as well. I've been meaning to get a hold of them.

I've also got their live DVD called "PULSE". It's amazingly epic. The Comfortably Numb solo on that DVD is probably the greatest musical piece I've ever watched and listened to.

Yea I agree, was going to post something similar so I'll quote.

I got the PULSE dvd too which is always a great watch/listen.

I love their Dark side of the moon album, it's fantastic, got some of my favourite songs ever on there. My most favourite piece of Pink Floyd work has to be Shine On You Crazy Diamond, it's such a beautiful song that I've tripped a many times to or listened to before bed, it's a f*cking piece of art!

Quoted for truth.

My favourite albums:

1. The Wall
2. Wish You Were Here
3. Dark Side of The Moon
4. Meddle
5. Final Cut (yes I do like this one)

PULSE is my favourite DVD, but I also appreciate what The Scorpions did on Waters' tour. And I saw Waters live in 2007, it was f*cking awesome. inlove.gif

favorite band...

can't really say much else...despite many arguments from PF "purists" i've heard chastising later releases, and others regarding the supposed overratedness of Dark Side or the Wall, it still remains that i love every album of theirs equally, and their music above all others has affected me the most profounding and lasting way.

Dark Side of the Moon is not overrated. Its that f*cking good. Anyone who says otherwise is full of sh*t. Maybe The Wall is but not really.

They have never put out a bad album. I even liked the Ummagumma studio album.

Pink Floyd is great. The Wall is a work of genius- the music, primarily, but in the film, Gerald Scarfe's animations are truly mind boggling.

Anyone seen Alice in Wonderland in Sync with The Wall.

I've yet to watch it all at once.

EDIT: Here's a version I think.

VIDEO

Sync Instructions

EDIT#3, oh yea, there's another one with Wizard of OZ I've seen before. That's the better one.

This man speaks truth. In my opinion, Animals is the best Pink Floyd album hands down. I remember looking at it when I was younger and going "5 tracks? Is that all?". Damn, I was narrow minded. I give it a full listen at least once a week. You couldn't chosen a better introduction track for it either.

"Wondering which of the buggers to blame... for watching for pigs on the wing."

Epic.

This would probably have to be one of, if not my all time favourite movie. I remember when I watched it for the first time my jaw was dropped half way down my body (not literally) throughout the whole movie, it truly is incredible.

I still have not yet got a hold of live at Pompeii. I've seen Echoes from the DVD on youtube and I think it's better than the recorded version.

Echoes at Pompeii is the best thing they ever did. Although pretty much everything up to (and including) Animals is completely awesome.

Some people say drugs make you like Pink Floyd. I'm being completely honest when I say Pink Floyd made me like drugs.
