Who thinks this is a good idea? Vice City again just smacks of boring to me. Anybody who's seen the movie Casino will appreciate Las Venturas in that decadent, violent time. The story could be "riches to better riches" ie. you start off as an important guy who owns a casino, and you slowly take over the rest of the city, getting rid of your mobster superiors whom you are running the casino for. So you'd have a crew and could issue orders, right from the start. There wouldn't be much water besides a big lake, but the city would be surrounded by desert, with missions taking place out there as well as the city. Small towns out in the desert could exist, and the Boulder dam would be present somewhere. Think of all the 60s and 70s cars, fashions and songs that could appear inlove.gif

Planes would return.
Gambling would return obviously.
Cars could have interior views.
A parachute for all you obsessives dozingoff.gif
No phone or internet, but more TV channels.
Car modding could return.

IMO the second GTA in the generation is always a period piece. Even GTA2 was set in the future.

Discuss.

Overhauling Las Venturas and visiting an era they haven't done yet. That could work.

I love this idea. icon14.gif

Actually 1970s Detroit, or Chicago would be two other locations I would love to see set in this decade.

All of those big, shiny yank tanks, and of course the best music genre (IMO of course) rock. smile.gif

I don't like old era games. The only one I liked was Vice City. I would like Vice City again, but fairly modern.

I don't want a dull and boring city though. Liberty City is too dark. I want something bright like LV or VC. I feel another same city would be taking the easy road though.

Vegas in the 70's would be effing boring. Most of the major casinos weren't built until the 1990's.

Lies. By the end of the 60s Vegas was a bustling gamblers paradise, even more than it is now.

MODERN LOS SANTOS / MODERN VICE CITY / MODERN LAS VENTURAS + ALL THE BEAUTIFUL DESERT

BIIIIG DESERT DESERT DESERT!!!!

I mean San Andreas just looked funny. There was lovely desert, but soooo small. Everything was so small in SA, i mean proportions were so stupid!! There should be a lot of space so that you would be able to fly jets normally.

I have an idea... Let's see Vice City in the 80's again. It wouldn't be the same map, tell me, is this map in any way similar to the one in GTA III?

Sounds like a good idea, with Xbox Arcades still around, they won't be able to make San Andreas in current-gen graphics. Unless the next GTA is a PC/PS3.

London's already going to be done by The Getaway 3.

R* really need to use a city no other company normally uses.

For the first time ever, someone's got a good idea about next GTA. I love your concept. I really do. If you don't, go and watch "Casino". Roaming around in a black suit with shirt collar outside, on the suit, shooting not from the sh*tty glock, but a real gun - Colt .45, and cars - yummy!
