Yeah, they were a Oi! band to start of with (or "second wave street punk" band as you put it) but later on they grew away from the Oi! scene and started the UK hardcore scene or UK82 as it's also known as because of that song.

when I think of UK82 bands like GBH, Discharge, and The Varukers. i think Explioted became more street than Oi! around that time, I could be way wrong though, Explioted have changed their sound several times.

Uh, they are not hardcore, whatsoever. Slayer is a trash metal band and Helmet is, I'm not really sure but they are definitely not hardcore. They're more like Alternative Metal.
