My PC doesn't make the differences between mipmaps anymore modded game and default game because I need to set some setting through my videocard control panel, something that I don't have anymore and only if I set the game settings to max and display too eating my system.

I need to make some promo screens on good angles to cover the cities for page 1, but for now on some upcoming days.

You guys suppose to show some game screens because you download and test to show that everything is okay.

Wow, looks amazing in game throughout SF !
And the installation is so much easier than the previous version of LOD.

Question:
Can you post a quick tutorial on how you made the textures have mipmaps? And how to set the level ..
I wonder if its possible to do the same for our particle and effectsPC .txds. Maybe even our own peds/vehicles to ..

If you didn't know, the original game is having mipmaps on 512x512 only from that I remembers and those are in small number.

So many things you guys are asking from some time sigh.gif , but I will do it because I know this is important, yet not now, in the upcoming days maybe. I stay enough on this one in the last couple of weeks, I want to start modding my own GTA from zero, plus I have few other life things on my list.

I'm not sure if the effects will have any value, only for water and fire and smoke effects. From 1.7GB I gain 2.4GB after mipmaps. Trees disappear if I set mipmaps to them, depends if the effects will disappear or not. The same goes for peds and any other car textures, or anything that has to do with .TXD

Robanswe - did you set your display video to max with AA3 ? this is the reason why I can't make pictures, I can't get to this visuals.

I force my AA up with the help of my graphic cards settings. The screens was taken with 4xAA but I'm used to play with 8xAA.
Anyway I bet your "Catalyst Control Center" is broken and reinstalling it doesn't work? Thats an very common problem with is very hard to fix.. Anyway there is one easy solution to still be able to edit the cards settings! Just install ATI Tray Tools it's not as good or easy to use as Catalyst Control Center but it does work.

But if you still can't take good screens pm me some screens and I will try to replicate them. But at the moment my sacamhack program doesn't work but I will try to make it look like your pics anyway.



Edit I have found some problems with the new version:/

The french did look as sh*t before the mipmap version yes but with mipmaps it's even worse:/

Try to reinstall everything and ONLY install this mod! Then test play and see if the random crashes still exists. If they do remove maplimit.ini or rename it. I have played a lot in sa-mp and it runs just fine.

Towards your problems, I install SRt3 2012 into my own game and nothing else, but I don't have the time in this week to play and test. Gosh, I haven't play it from a long time.
And remember that even installing 10 cars into the game, you WILL get at least ONE random crash at some time, after all your are modding the game aspect. This is a huge mod and I took all the posibilities to make it very stable and sometimes crashes can occur. Listen to what Robanswe said.


Robanswe - No need to give fixes, because I know to what what you say. My CCC can be installed, by it messing with my ATI video card display settings and everything shuts down. My videocard is old, doesn't accept new versions so I know what's going on, I need a knew one.

About your Airport fence, I don't have such problem, disappearing or not it does only when you set your settings to AA+ ? This is weird. What ? I though the Vinewood logo is fixed. What in the world ? Was this problem in the previous versions ?

Doesn't matter, I would like if you find more bugs, report to/for me to know what I need to fix. Two weeks from now, I will release a small .RAR fix in meantime I will wait for more bugs to come.

Blitz it might help to use ati tray tools ccc is know to be buggy as hell. It's known to crash and cause blue screens.

Anyway the fence problem does not have anything to do with the AA settings. The problem is that the texture is to good and to visible from far away (This is the mipmaps fault^^). It makes it look like an solid wall when looking at it with doesn't look good. To fix this you need to make some changes to the texture itself for example make the grid bigger and try to higher the resolution a bit and make the lines thinner.

I don't know if the Vinewood sign was bugged before but take an fast look at it anyway.

Anyone else having a crash at San Fierro? Pretty much nearby stadium, other areas seem to be working. Tried re-installing twice, not helping. I guess it's the underground highway, when driving highway from south and before entering the underground-part, just after the intersection with the hill and curvy road on the right, it crashes. Flying from north and I managed to get to south-west corner of driving-school, and crash. Is it just me and my game, or does it happen for others?

Robanswe - well there's one problem here man, those are from ParoXum, but to make them bigger as size is not a problem for me, but the effects and textures used there I don't know about them and this happens on one of my favorite textures. I'm not giving my word here, but I will see what's going on here.

oksa8 - I made few test on that area now, using Crazy Trailer and nothing happend. I took every road, angle and position and nothing, even above the sky. Crazy Trailer detects and crashes but nothing here happend. Crazy Trailer was the one who found the bug in LA Glen Park Hospital, blocking me to put all the trees into the game.

That area doesn't have any changes other than their .dff and some XYZ Med Editor that I had to put them back in order.
