hi, i made some PS2 cheat-devices ( GamsShark , CodeBreaker , Action Replay MAX...NTSC / PAL ) codes to activate all the territories in san andreas with 3 waves of attack ( PC USERS: see links at end of this post ) but just like the original territory glitch, the codes also glitch the game at some points, any of you who are familliar with the original glitch know what im talking about...mainly it can sometimes change cars/peds that spawns in the streets and messed up gangs stats.
the codes below will give a high density of 32 (50) to territories and 3 waves of attacks.
the original glitch was made on version 1 of the game by flying way-off the map for hours. it would give you at most 178 territories with a density of 01, its very weak and it will give you only one wave of attack...
also doing the original glitch takes hours...inputing the codes only take about 10 minutes.

TERRITORY GLITCH CODES thoses codes are meant to mod the gang territories all around SA . this tutorial will be divided by steps to follow for proper way to activate those codes. they are meant to be activated and saved one by one ... however ever single step is optional , its up to you .
TESTED on NTSC v1, PAL v1, NTSC v2 and PAL v2
NTSC v1 and PAL v1 = original versions NTSC v2 = special edition and greatests hits PAL V2 = platinum edition

for the codes,i will. but that aside this topic is for ppl willing to take a shot at doing various popcycle density codes and share info's on how the code affect the game....the territory glitch codes are just the start,let say the base of this topic. the topic you pointed is already big,i wouldnt want to overflowing it with ??? on the subject.also i think its more like a database to gather codes....but your right i will post my territory glitch codes there,so its in the pinned topic for cheatdevice codes.

the "SAN_AND" territory is the first (see list below) and starts at adresses 007BA7F0 ntsc & 007BA8F0 pal ,use hex calculator to do +11(hex) and it will give you the starting adress of the next territory "SUNMA" =007BA801 ntsc & 007BA901 pal,and so on...see list below
?? = density or color %...can go from 00 to FF ( 00 to 255 ) see default settings to see how the game is set (below) i used ballas/vagos lines and set them to 32 (50) in my territory glitch codes v1 & v2,so if you want to change the densitys in them change the 32's for another value. also for somes reasons any changes in gangs & dealers density may affect the last four digits (peds&cars and peds ??) i dont know why,anyways this is what cause the glitches in the popcycle spawning.playing around with thoses should be fun for testing...
here's the starting adresses list,just like the example above do +1 in hex to get adress to next digits,or change the command code to condense it
BTW, i posted all the info's cuz i only used ballas/vagos gang density...and more codes can be done with this,i hope this topic will make you pll do your own version of san andreas ganglands,dealers,etc..if you post your codes remember to tell how they affect the game -do it -test it -post it and please share all worthy info's...have fun!!

Cars and Ped Type: Special Notes
Types over 19 have a hex flag attached to the byte. For the most part you can ignore this because the Gang Flag is set automatically when the gangs are added. Grove Street has an additional flag that prevents foot cops from spawning as random peds. I'm not sure about cop cars, Grove Street doesn't have random traffic.
Flag 0x20 = Gang Cars and/or Peds Flag 0x40 = unobserved, cleared if set Flag 0x80 = no cop zone
Unknown Ped Type Notes - end of record
Hispanic Dealer - frequently seen in zones with (ped ??) unknown ped type 4 (last field in record) Biker Dealer - frequently seen in San Fierro zones without additional settings
Residential Rich Zones: PRP1, PRP2, PRP3, YELLOW, and PARA (probably others) No luck using unknown ped type to restore normal car and ped densities. Eventually rezoned to type 12 - Entertainment Busy
Unknown Ped Types 10, 9, and 1 are likely to restore fairly normal car and ped densities in many residential zones. Unknown Ped Type 10 - possible Biker Dealers in LV
Gang Map Colors
Red, Blue, Green, Alpha: I suggest ignoring these values. Testing on PC suggests that the game engine will change these to the appropriate settings based on the densities of the zones. I'll try to confirm this on PS2 during my next round of save edit testing. Set the gang densities and let the engine do the rest.
Update: Sorry, this has already been confirmed by current data. Glitching a turf adds a density of 1, and not much else. The engine applies the colors and gang flags.

I'm still not sure how to enable gang wars with cheat codes, but perhaps this save will help you track it down. I enabled the gang war byte (01) and in the next three bytes I placed a unique marker. These bytes are marked as "align", and usually don't do anything; gaps in memory so things line up in 4 byte structures.
The Hex code for these 4 bytes, the enabled gang byte and 3 align bytes, are: 01 4F 53 52
The ASCII equivalent for the 3 align bytes are: OSR
This string of 3 letters is unique in the save file. The byte before OSR is the target variable.
ric's method of altering the zone is far more flexible, but there is another method to alter the zone types and densities of the 3 major gangs. I've posted a method for PS2 player to extract the save file from most formats and edit with a program designed for PC save files. The tool seems to be working, and provides a utility for clicking on the zones, selecting the zone type from a menu, and editing the densities of Ballas, Grove, and Vagos in each zone.
Large scale changes can be made to the zones quickly with this tool. However, there is no method to alter the unknown ped type to tweak the ped densities, and no option is available for other gangs or dealers. A combination of strategies would probably be most effective when rezoning all of San Andreas.

about enable gang-war code i havent look into it yet,but i will.for now im using a alternate way to activate it
police mission mod = DOBERMAN (press R3 in any police vehicules) 006C5295 00000015 006C53B8 00000015 from skiller database
this will activate the doberman mission at any time in the game...i mainly used it after gang-war is disable (green sabre mission) but it can be done at any time.this is a way of doing it...but not the best one.ill start searching for the enable code.thanks for the bytes that will help.

Why we need the code if we can do it for ourselves with a glitch?
ok..just so you know, the original glitch made by flying way-off the map for hours,will give you at most 178 territory's with a density of 01, its very weak and it will give you only one wave of attack...the territory glitch code v1 & v2 will give you 371 or all 380 of them with 3 waves of attack.it as a density of 32 (50) its very high,regular strong territory's have a density of 28 (40)
also doing the original glitch takes hours...inputing the codes only take about 10 minutes
do the math,200 more territory's + high gang-density =.....fun,fun,fun.if you like the gang-war aspect of this game.
anyways just try the codes you'll see what im talking about

Another advantage to this method is you can change a few zone types so gangs will spawn in the desert and country regions, preferably a zone with a few ped paths.
Ric thats pretty impressive do you think it would work on AR MAX PAL??

it needs to be ported to pal first,i dont have a pal dump of the game,so i cant look into it..ill try to do a request at CMP and see if someone can help me out porting thoses.once its ported it can easily be converted to armax.

yes,and since the territory glitch code is savable,we can do small fix codes to make it better...we know "peds&cars" is savable,but it as flags attached to it,so when saved and reloaded whitout code,will it revert to what the flags tell im to ? if so the changes should be done in gangs & dealers density % so it gets another flag...and what about "peds???" are the changes savable??does it as flags??...much testing to be done here.
that was for the savable part...we can always do "always on" code that would need to activated each time you start the game...with this we can change any value.so fix code shouldnt be a problem...but will they be savable? i dont know yet,but ill get there.
right now im hunthing the gang-war toggle, im trying to get this code ported to pal as well as other versions of the game,im trying to figure out a "dealers everywhere" condensed code,im trying to do some testings on various density settings (for that i need to argue with my girlfriend to get tv control) i also do the "territory's starting adresses list"...all at the same time. add the fact that i work 6 days a week...and sometimes needs to sleep a bit.

I know dude its still nice to see alot of old faces here still though. Oh yeah i also discovered somthing that relates to this that you might want to know. When a hood gets attacked i've found if you lure them to one of the turfs accquired by the territory glitch and then kill the gang memebrs there it makes the density brighter which means it can be attacked by the ballas for example. I did this with a turf i got where the lowrider garage is i took over willowfield and it kept getting attacked so i lured them there and killed them and gradually i've made it a normal turf like the rest.

this can also be done with the "hood abuse" glitch...do you know it?? basicly all you need is button cheats
-infinite health -weapons 3 -car fly
when you get "hood under attack" stick remote explosive on all gangmembers that attack your territory,and fly away to any territory and detonate...it work almost all the time.if done right.

There it is. The last line in the code segment below changes the stats display. It was one of the final pieces to the puzzle of getting the gang war testing working properly. This should be easier to locate than the Gang Wars Enabled flag since I suspect you have codes for other stats to use for an offset. But then again, without the gang war flag this bit won't help much.

i did look into the dump to try to locate it...no luck so far,but i didnt had much time to do so.
i did port the codes v1 & v2 to pal format. pal ppl have fun.
now ill do the starting adresses list for each territory's in ntsc..i will post it in couple of days.

props Ric but you knwo the water territorys can be taken over just get a big boat do recruit anyone cheat recruit 3 ballas or vagos and then take them over the water and just kill them then just move near to land and then kill the 2 waves.

Water territories are a bitch though if the "gang waves" spawn underwater..it's a good idea to move as far away from the water as you can and still remain in the area you're trying to take over. I tried to take Verdant Meadows and had a "gang wave" spawn somewhere in the Restricted Area that I could not get to, so sometimes CJ gets screwed even on land.
