Schumacher received a 5 place place grid penalty after the collision with Senna during the Catalunya race. It looks like his bad luck or misfortune will never disappear and that's a shame. And next race is Monaco where it's almost impossible to overtake and it's not good that Schumacher will start further back on the grid there.

Really haven't been paying attention this year. I'm watching the Catalunya replay now.

What's the deal with the crooked noses?

New regulations which mean the noses have to be a certain distance from the ground, I think the mclaren is the only car that hasn't made theirs so ugly.

iirc, you're allowed to defend once, but not twice (recall Hamilton v Raikkonen in 2009) so Senna was within his rights to do that I think. If Schu went right afterwards, and Senna followed, then the crash happened, then he'd be at fault.

Schu also within his rights to be super pissed.

Didn't Marussia say that they had a regular nose too? I guess many people don't care about Marussia that much but I think they didn't make an ugly nose.

I think they both drove a little bit weird but I can buy that Schumacher got that penalty since he could have avoided the crash and he knew that Senna was on old tires. But overall they both was involved in a misunderstanding situation and you could clearly see afterwards that Schumacher was very, very angry and unhappy. Luckily you don't see these kind of misunderstandings so often, but they might happen of course.

Time for Monaco. The qualifying will be extremely important today since it's almost impossible to overtake any cars on this circuit. It might be tight in the sessions again, especially Q1.

Schumacher had to retire once again. He has four retirements in six races now. Scandal! He doesn't deserve this bad luck especially when everything goes well for Rosberg. And Schumacher was fastest in qualifying.

Webber won the race in Monaco and now we have six different winners in six races. I guess Hamilton, Kimi, Grosjean and Schumi also might win a race. We also have five different Pole-sitters and six different drivers who have set the fastest lap in the race. I wonder how the numbers will look when the season is over?

2008 had seven different GP-winners. 2003 had eight. This season will beat those numbers I guess.

Overall it didn't happen so much in todays race though.

What's going on with Button, he's quite far behind in the championship now and Webber is right in there.

So Mark Webber linked with a Ferrari drive. I'm so conflicted.

Button has been quite mediocre in three races in a row now. In Monaco he was behind Kovalainen during the second half of the race which was kind of tragic. Button might have a tough year if he doesn't improve his qualifying positions.

It's always been the case at McLaren. If the car has balance and has a wide setup window, Button will do well. If the car is awkward and the tyres operate in a knife edge of a temperature window, Button just cannot get on top of the car. Lewis comparatively just doesn't give a sh*t and finds a way to drive the car, albeit at the detriment of long run pace usually.

I'd like to see Webber at Ferrari. Lewis for Red Bull after?

I think it would be interesting if Webber drove for Ferrari. He has driven for Red Bull Racing since 2007 and it would be nice if he changed team after all these years. He would be a better choice than Massa who hasn't performed so well since his tragic crash in Hungary. Occasionally he can drive okay but we rarely see that. He hasn't scored a podium since the 2010 Korean Grand Prix. I would say he's washed up if it weren't for his quite good driving at Monaco two days ago. It wouldn't suprise me if Webber stays at Red Bull though unless something drastic happens.

Today it's qualifying at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. It's one of my favourite circuits in the calendar because it usually happen a lot of interesting stuff during Canada race weekends. It's also a challenging curcuit.

I hope Schumacher can get a nice qualifying but I don't know what to think at the moment.

Btw. I wonder if we get a seventh winner this weekend? Perhaps it's Hamiltons turn?

You guys should see some interesting facts below:

Vettel is barely 25 years old and he's already one of the best qualifying performers of all time! (His qualifying percent is almost as good as Senna's!).

1. Michael Schumacher 68 (23.21 %)
2. Ayrton Senna 65 (40.47 %)
3. Jim Clark 33 (45.83 %)
4. Alain Prost 33 (16.58 %)
5. Nigel Mansell 32 (17.11 %)
6. Sebastian Vettel 32 (36.78 %)
7. Juan Manuel Fangio 29 (56.86 %)
8. Mika Häkkinen 26 (16.15 %)
9. Niki Lauda 24 (14.04 %)
10. Nelson Piquet 24 (11.76 %)

11. Lewis Hamilton 21 (21.88 %)
13. Fernando Alonso 20 (10.93 %)
18. Kimi Räikkönen 16 (9.88 %)
19. Felipe Massa 15 (9.49 %)
32. Mark Webber 10 (5.49 %)

More bad luck for Schumacher. Good win for Hamilton though and Perez and Grosjean managed to make a 1 stop strategy work.

What an inconvenient truth. Like most Australians, I hate Vettel.

Laughed my head off when he had the irony to say, 'Formula 1 is no place for sissies.' lol.gif
