[The Horror Is Alive]

Mods, please give this topic a chance. It seems to be going quite well at the moment, and I've set up a way to (hopefully) keep people in line (see below):

I've had a look around a number of forums, and it seems that talk about Bigfoot, UFOs, Leatherface, etc. is a good way to get flamed/banned. Is talk about that sort of stuff acceptable here? I tried to look for a topic regarding it, but then I saw the 206 pages of General Discussion... well, I'm not gonna go slogging through all of that. I know about the search function as well, but that only looks through posts, not topic titles as far as I know. And the amount of discussion in unrelated topics really screws up the search. So am I okay making a post about the myths so people can discuss it?

My opinions:
Bigfoot - Might be real, but there's a lot of fake photos running around the net.
Leatherface - Dunno, some YouTube vids are convincing (I'm thinking of a six-minute one shot on a rainy night right now; still haven't made up my mind about it. The guy in it even says stuff like "Hey, Piggsy!")
UFOs - Definitely possible, there's a lot of references in the game, and I wouldn't find it unusual for Rockstar to include something like this.
Ghost Cars - I've encountered one rolling down the hill near the two 'horseshoes' but have never encountered one following me.
Shark - The files are present, but man-eating? I'm not sure.
Loch Ness Monster - I find this one a bit stupid. The lake he's supposed to reside in is way too small for a Loch Ness Monster.
Telephone Booth In The Desert - I'm being pulled both ways on this one. I can't decide. Again, it wouldn't be beyone Rockstar.
Osama Bin Laden's Desert Bunker - God, someone was bored. No comment.
Serial Killer - Could be true, a lot of convincing photos exist.
Zombie - Heard a bit about this one, that it was that wierd-ass hillbilly guy in the country with no shirt chewing on a piece of grass. Could be a reference, not that he actually does anything to you.
Omega Zombie - Huh? What's this?
Pilotable Submarine - I know there is a submarine (the 'U.S.S Numnutz'), but have never seen anyone piloting it. Not that I've looked through YouTube for a relevant vid, though.

Omega Zombie	FAKE! Pretty much no-one has even heard of this, it's just one post from someone that presents this myth.
Pilotable Submarine	FAKE! No game files to support myth.
Beta Zone	FAKE! No game files to support myth.

Well, that's all I can think of. These are my opinions by the way. If I'm in the wrong making a topic like this, please let me know and do whatever you have to do.

Loch Ness Monster - Wtf.
Telephone Booth In The Desert - A mod by a man I respect. The rumor started from a hallucination.

Zombie - The only zombies in GTAs are Elvis and those actors in VCS.

Pilotable Submarine - A great mod. BTW, the word "pilotable" refers to planes and helis only. And it's called U.S.S. Numnutz, not Numbnutz.

VCS voice-acting was on par with the rest of the GTAs. I didn't see any difference.

I found the Omega Zombie reference on some other site. Just a mention, no pics or vids, etc. I'm as confused as you are

They never follow you and they never attack you.
They are just cars spawned on a slope and they roll downhill.

If you happen to be in their way then they'll crash into you. But they're not attacking you.

If you are in their path and you run away downhill it will look like they're following you but they're not. You're just running in front of them.

See if you ever find a video of a "ghost car" that travels uphill for any distance.
If you do then I bet it's not from the game but made up in some way

No, I loved the voice acting in VCS. However, in the mission "Brawn of the Dead", there are characters who are actors who play zombies.

Serial KIller: True, walks around the desert. Only kills people if you have riot cheat on
Epsilon Cult: Fake. You can hear Cris Formage talk about it on the radio, but you can't join it.
Door in the Sky: True. Yellow marker WAY above the Cluckin' Bell on the outskirts of Fort Carson. Only seen when jumping out of the plane on Stowaway. Only there on PS2 version.

I thought the Green Goo was always an alien artifact. Why would the textures be named that otherwise?

A strong narcotic? In that sort of a container? Hmmm... can't see any evidence to prove that. But I could be wrong. This mystery is yet to be solved, anyway.
