thread's over i guess... bored.gif anyone heard the new alice stuff yet, is it any good?

What? NEW Alice stuff?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_in_Chai...th_studio_album

The guy (William DuVall) can sing, but he sounds nothing like Layne Staley and gives a completely different sound to the old songs.

I can't imagine the new album being very good.

He tries to mimic Layne's voice waay too much, he should just try his own style you know? Anyways I think the new stuff will be good, but we will never get another 'Dirt'..

I'm into Smashing Pumpkins and Foo Fighters now as well.

Everlong, My Hero, I'll Stick Around, Monkey Wrench, Zero, Rocket, Cherub Rock, Bullet w/ Butterly Wings, Ava Adore are probably the top ones for me right now.

Have you heard the latest Pumpkins album? I quite like it. I'm also currently digging Learn to Fly and Times Like These by the Foo Fighters.

And lately I can't get enough Stone Temple Pilots. From Core to No.4, I've just been listening to them a lot lately. And I'm really hoping they stop in New York for their summer tour.

Yes, Learn To Fly! That is actually my #1 Foo Fighters song right now and I forgot to list it. As for Zeitgeist, I haven't really heard much from it, but is it true it's like a hard edged album all the way through?

As for STP, I'm playing Sex Type Thing a lot on Rock Band.

I checked out the new foo fighters album. IT seems very mature though still has that old foo fighters sound. I really hated the new smashing pumpkins album, mostly because the only original members were billy and jimmy. Also the songs weren't all good.

I like "Doomsday Clock" off Zeitgeist the best.

That album isn't too bad. Have you heard "Best of You"? That's one of my favorites from the album, along with "DOA", "The Deepest Blues Are Black", "Hell", and pretty much everything on the first disc.

I didn't like the album because they weren't really rocking like on the other albums. I liked Friend of a Friend because it was about Kurt. confused.gif

Yeah but if a hairbrush that Kurt used was on eBay, you'd buy it, boil it, make a stew from the broth and bathe in it for eternity.

Josh Homme is kind of a f*ck.

Queens is alright, sometimes, but not as great as a lot of people make them out to be.

Yeah, forming the band synonymous with a scene and later describing the people in that scene (including former bandmates) as "drugged-out losers" isn't exactly the best way to make friends. Maybe that's why Nick Oliveri won't play with him anymore and Desert Sessions has pretty much fell apart.

Your Right. I would. tounge.gif tounge.gif

I don't give a crap about what people say about Kurt. He was an awsome guy. You don't like it piss off

Now that's out of the way. Their's this grunge band i've been listening to on Youtube and their Myspace page. It's called Perfect Union. They got some good music.

Dude, if Nirvana was the Corleone Family, you'd be Fredo. As if we didn't have enough anti-Nirvana people already, it's people like you who give them more reason to talk sh*t.
