This thread needs bumping, the fact that threads like "Indie Music thread" & "Van halens New Song" is on the 1st page but this isn't disturbs me somewhat.

You could post some "crust", and be in the right main genre, really, but yeah, activity in the Music section ain't what it once was, even then, it's always seemed rather slow in here, I personally don't get it, music is a passion in life
I was covering Dayglo in the Metal thread, but follow this bit O' Refresher on the history, if you're a newb

I met one of the biggest influences in my life last night, Greg Ginn. I smoked a joint with him, and my girlfriend bought him a couple of beers. He was also nice enough to sign a seven inch that I own.

You guys heard about Harley who used to be in Cro-Mags? Stabbed their bassist and someone else and bit someone backstage at a SOIA/Cro-Mags gig. Thankfully there was no fatalities, but what the f*ck? He's probably going to be getting done for attempted murder or some sh*t now.
I don't know if this has already been posted, but I recently found this pretty good punk band, The Explosion. They broke up a few years ago, but they still have good music, whether or not it's new. My favorite song of theirs:
Another good band I found recently. They're not the most punk band out there, but I guess you could at least consider them pop-punk or something like that. The singer is actually Billie Joe from Green Day, and the guitarist is Jason White who plays live with them. But no Tre Cool or Mike Dirnt here. My only problem with them is that a majority of the songs are too short...
They also did a pretty good cover of Big Yellow Taxi. It's one of my favorites out there.
