I want to ask you guys, which is best?

I personally love the third one, adjusted the contrast and made it brighter and now I am using it as a phone wallpaper. smile.gif

With new contrast and brightness

Awesome! biggrin.gif
I'm using the standard one as wallpaper for my pc (see 'Post your desktop/PC').
I tried adjusting the contrast and colours on my phone, but it didn't really work turn.gif

The size of the image is rather big so I will post it as a link.
I was in the bathroom earlier on and saw this moth. I thought it was rather strange looking.
The quality isn't brilliant but to say it was from a 5 mega pixel HTC phone camera, isn't too bad.

Hell yeah! Nice, so it is compatible with the trigger than I take it? Can't wait to see more.. makes me want to get my old skate buddies out and shoot.. they're prolly too old and out of shape now though haha.

QUOTE (Nah Tso Gud @ Saturday, Aug 4 2012, 20:29)
LC youve inspired me to get out and skate, and shoot it. Thanks biggrin.gif

My sister actually activated the shutter for me on this one ( that's me skating ).

Backside 180 heelflip. Lit with an Alien Bee B800 and a 580ex II ( seen in the shot ).

*snip*

That's awesome! No motion blur and sick trick icon14.gif I finally just learned those on flat the other day, theyre pretty fun. And yeah the trigger works great; also works with my friend's T4i.

I unfortunately haven't gotten any new skate shots since I've been working (to get this sly.gif ) and everyone wants to go to ghetto skateparks that I don't want to leave my camera lying around at sad.gif But soon...

Anyways, some meh photos:

I'd say this one personally.

Woo, busy thread lately biggrin.gif good deal.

Wish I had one pose for me like that Alex, nice! You should check into a small 5 in 1 reflector for shots like those for either diffusing the light or reflecting light upon the bugs, it can really spice up an image.

Thanks for the kind comments gents.

A lot of my friends aren't big into photography, so naturally they don't seem to understand how challenging it really is to shoot a concert. I guarantee if I gave them my camera, with all my equipment, they wouldn't get a good shot to save their lives. Not to mention the job becomes even more difficult with the restrictions most venues place on the photographer.

Anyway, there's a lot of great stuff in this topic. I've been shooting shows for almost two years now, I don't know why I haven't shared any before.

I need a serious upgrade in equipment though. The noise that comes through in some of my shots is wretched, but can't be helped in that situation. I do my best in post-production, but it's still irritating to know I can still see it.

Anybody have any remedies of alleviating noise?

What body and lens are you using? I got by pretty well with a Canon XSi and cheapo 50mm 1.8 shooting my buddies band a few years ago.

If you can find a copy of Nik Software Dfine, give that a shot in post. It's like f*cking magic how well it can kill noise.

Neat Image is an exceptionally good plugin for noise removal if you have Photoshop.

It's pretty wild how many of those grains are translucent.. that's why I love close up and macro photography.. it totally brings you in to a level that can otherwise easily go un-noticed with just the naked eye.

Edit: I just got my Paul C Buff Vagabond Mini battery pack in the mail to go with my Alien Bees, outdoor portraiture possibly incoming.
