in the police boat there is a map inside...could this be the gamemap?

For the record, the Rockstar staff were pretty sure that what we see in that shot probably "could be" the map but we were all too scared to declare it 100%. It seems pretty obvious though, judging by what we now know is the bona fide map.

Finally the map is confirmed:)

I do think that resembels a map and it's not that impossible that it might be the game map, Good find.

Especially when you look at the real NYC map. That's kinda/sorta how it is, or at least enough to think that might be it.

Hm. Could be. I dun think that's the entire thing, though. There seems to be chunks of other islands coming off the sides. And those two little islands in the middle... Eh. What could those be? Too small to be boroughs.

The only other thing I could think of, is that it might be some sort of radar?
Would a police boat have radar?

Seems pretty much like it. If I remember correctly someone who saw the map at a preview described it almost like that, only with the left side (Jersey / Alderney?) not viewable. If he was to the right of the map, it seems like it won't show up - pretty much as we see in this boat...

It looks really waterlogged.
