well, here's the official ESRB rating and description for hitman absolution. I'll place it in spoilers if no one wants to see some of the other locations and kills: | QUOTE | Just two months ahead of its November release, Hitman: Absolution has received its ESRB rating and summary.
To no one’s surprise, Hitman: Absolution has been rated “M” for Mature by the Entertainment Software Rating Board. The contents of the game include blood and gore, intense violence, partial nudity, use of drugs, strong language and much more. The rating summary describes the game’s rating in much more depth:
This is an action game in which players control Agent 47, a rogue assassin attempting to rescue a girl from various factions. From first- and third-person perspectives, players use machine guns, shotguns, sniper rifles, and explosives to complete mission objectives and kill human adversaries. Players can also employ stealth tactics (e.g., strangling or slicing characters’ throats from behind) to eliminate adversaries at close range. Violent encounters are accompanied by realistic gunfire/explosions, large blood-splatter/pooling effects, and slow-motion attacks. Non-adversary characters can be injured or killed at will (e.g., throwing a bomb into a crowd of civilians), though this may negatively affect players’ score; in one level, players discover the dead bodies of nun characters, with blood splatter on their clothing and in the hallways (the actual killings are not depicted). Other intense sequences include the use of a wood chipper to dispose of dead bodies (streams of bloody gibs are depicted), and an interrogation scene depicting a security guard beaten up by villains. The game includes suggestive/sexual material: One level takes place inside a strip club, which depicts women dancing on poles or performing lap dances in front of male clients; some strippers wear small pasties over their nipples. Other sexual material includes a female character briefly reaching for a man’s groin, and a woman stripping down to lingerie in front of Agent 47 (e.g., “I love a hard man . . .”). During some missions, characters can be observed snorting cocaine off a table or smoking from a bong near marijuana plants. The words “f**k,” “sh*t,” “p*ssy,” and “c*cksucker” can be heard in the dialogue. Hitman: Absolution will be released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 20th. | http://igogaming.net/2012/09/20/hitman-abs...-rated-by-esrb/

Can I have a large serving of Humble Pie, please?
In spite of my previous, more vitriolic attacks on Absolution, the recent, near-deluge of brand new information has slapped me right across the face. The Bateson affair has been resolved, with Mr. 47 stepping back into his rightful shoes. My worries about linear levels are gone, with the Streets of Hope level and even the new looks we've had on the Library/Drug Farm levels. My concerns about making the game too easy have been quelled by Purist mode and the option to toggle Instinct elements to my choosing. And of course, Contracts mode, which looks like a great way to 'do' Hitman multiplayer.
So yes. If I can have my serving relatively soon, please? Because I look forward to November 20th.

a member named quinn of the hitman forums went to the eurogamer expo and the user got to play the King of chinatown mission. here are his/her thoughts and experiences | QUOTE (Quinn) | Alright, i'm back home and figured i'd write up my thoughts on the demo before I pass out and forget everything. Hope some of this is useful to you. No matter how many times you've watched the various youtube playthroughs of the mission, there's nothing quite like experiencing the level for yourself. Chinatown itself is quite a spectacle, and my first instinct was just to wander around and take in the sights and sounds. Being able to walk around and listen to people's conversations, watch the sushi chef working the crowd and listening to the King's self centred rants are all very entertaining and immersive.
There's a couple of key things about the demo I should point out first... * It was an older build of the game, apparently the same code drop that debuted at E3 this year - So that means no animations for holstering weapons or walking up/down stairs. In contrast, the Hope demo from the developer session was the latest build of the game thus far and had numerous improvements. * Unlike the crowds from Murder of Crows in Blood Money, the crowd in this Chinatown mission has a lot of density and you'll have to wade and weave through them. You cannot run when deep in a crowd, only walk slightly faster. It can hinder an escape if someone has spotted you, but it's also infinitely more realistic. * It's as small as it looks! The level is very condensed, but it makes up for in detail what it lacks in scale. Travis explained to me that it's essentially the first "player controlled" hit in the game, where you're dumped into the world without having to follow any onscreen instructions, so that explains the small size of it. * I was able to play the game for around 45 minutes on Xbox360, and about half an hour on PS3. I'm getting the game on PC, but I personally found the PS3 controllers to be more responsive and natural when aiming and walking. * The "Fake Surrender" movie is only temporary, and 47 will automatically grab the nearest assailant trying to arrest/subdue him the moment they get too close. * Only easy and normal mode were available in the demo. Normal mode was actually pretty challenging. Guards and civillians see through disguises quite quickly if you don't blend, and you'll die in a few gunshots if it all goes to hell. The guards certainly don't feel bumbling and amateur anymore and are getting considerably more difficult to fool. You'll certainly have to be very strategic if you want to go down the gunfight route as they spread out and try to block all of your exits. * I figured out early on that it's far more fun to turn off the "show enemies" aspect of instinct, along with the pathways. Trying to find the King in a crowd of people without being able to switch to instinct and see his red outline just feels very tense and predatory, so you're left to stalk the crowds whie keeping an eye out for his blue suit. I'm not sure how this is likely to play out on missions that we aren't so familiar with, though. Anyway, I had a good play around and tried doing a few things I hadn't seen people do before. One of my favourite moments was disguising as a Chef. There's a LOT of chefs in Chinatown, and they obviously recognise their own workers. The game is very unforgiving with people seeing through disguises, and as such the chef is a really bad disguise to walk around so openly in. A female chef became suspicious and began tailing me around, so I slipped back into the alley where you start the level and slunk into a dumpster. Eventually, she grabbed an officer and alerted him to my whereabouts. He came looking for me, paced around the alley a bit before leaving and the all clear came up. I decided to chance coming out of the alley again, using instinct to blend, but the female chef instantly recognised me and alerted the cops who once again attempted to arrest me. I thought that was very cool, if they've had a shady experience with you before they don't just forget about it and will remember you. Another fun moment was trying to sneak up into snowman's apartment. I used the fusebox to distract the cop, and then snuck by undetected. Going up the stairs, Snowman came barging out of the door right in my face, which I wasn't expecting. He pulled a gun on me, so i used the fake surrender. He was taunting 47, saying something like "Nice haircut!" which i found pretty funny. Anyway, he went down with a snap of the neck after the tables were turned on him utilizing the reversal. I did encounter a pretty insane glitch after killing Snowman, though. It's not really fair to bring this up or hold it against IO really, since we all know this is a pre beta version - but I was dragging snowman's body inside to his apartment and it became elongated, streched out and stuck in the floor, spazzing around all over the place. I couldn't drag him anymore after that happened, so I just restarted. It was more funny than anything, and some guys in the queue behind me thought it was hilarious. As for the developer session, you all saw it - And the other folks have summed up our discussions with Christian and Torben pretty well. Sadly, magic pockets and no suitcase are 100% certain. Yes, it's a shame - But we have to learn to live with it at this stage. We were also told that 47 always carries his silverballers and fibre wire, and can carry one other pistol or meele weapon at any time. After we talked with Christian and Torben, I got the chance to do a little interview with a camera crew that were documenting the event for the hitman youtube channel. With any luck, you'll see my ugly mug rambling on in a slightly sociopathic manner about how much fun it will be to beat people over the head with landmines... There's so much more I could mention, but i've rambled on far too long as it is. Hope some of this is interesting to you! | http://www.hitmanforum.com/index.php/topic...n/page__st__200despite the magic pockets and what it implies, this game is going to kick so much ass. edit: can someone make me a cool hitman absolution sig? thanks! Played this yesterday and the day before. First day I struggled to get much done, and couldn't even finish the demo. Next day, after spotting somebody see the poisonous fish I couldn't find, then some trial and error, I managed to poison the dude sneaky bastard style. Escaped with only the target dead, an "accidental" death, and still only got the Shadow rating. This game is going to be a time stealer, to say the least.
