And they did do the exact same thing with Max Payne 3 in initially announcing James McCaffrey would not be returning as the voice of Max and then when he was it was seen as a pretty big deal at the time.

The game seems to be shaping up. I don't mind the RDR targeting ability because it's very limited in it's application as they explain, so typically it's a bit of a one off per level I'd imagine as it consumes instinct.

Honestly, at the moment, this is probably my most anticipated game behind GTA V and possibly Watch Dogs nothing else is really grabbing me atm.

As awesome as it is that Bateson is back, it's not like 47 was a big talker you know...BUT...awesome news though. So much better than the previous voice they had.

And maybe IO knew this all along and was simply trolling the fans? Remember how they kept having 'The original assassin' in their trailers? A sign that Bateson was in all along or........or it's simply exactly as what IO said. But i do wonder when they came to that realization that the game needed Absolution..perhaps because of the fans that kept protesting then?

I didn't really mind if Bateson was in or not. 47 didn't really speak much. I'm all for continuity, authenticity but his voice is really a cosmetic thing. I never thought of 47 as a character much. He could talk like a woman and it wouldn't change the gameplay or style for me.

Holy sh*t. IO bringing Bateson back is one of the coolest things I've heard. Totally did not expect it to happen.

The absence of David Bateson on this new series upset almost all of the hitman fans especially the THE Harcode fans like me. But now IOI brought back David again to be the voice of Agent 47. Atleast IOI learned from them mistake of replacing the original voice actor, the heart and soul of this wonderful series. Well done IOI well done. My only request is just don't even try to replace David for future Hitman Games that's all I'm asking from you...
