Yeah, we'll have to see when the game comes out. I mean they just wanted to show one side of 47. You can pretty much go through the whole level without detection and without killing people. It does seem linear but I'm sure they were careful in choosing what level they'd demo. I don't think we can base the whole game on one level.

I hope not. I will probably buy the game whatever happens but it'd be sh*t if they've taken away the freedom of it.

Considering the fact that Kane & Lynch team took over the development for Hitman I think we are obligated to be skeptical.

Is this confirmed?

I don't want to become depressed, thanks.

Of course. I'm skeptical too but...we'll have to see when the game comes out.

Kane & Lynch has it's heart in the right place. Its just the actual gameplay wasn't that fun. I loved the theme, the location, the realism (shakey camera) etc but they just didn't execute it well.

I actually thought Kane and Lynch was a brilliant game. I never played the second one apart from the demo, but the first game I absolutely loved. Multiplayer was definitely my favourite game-mode, and going behind your enemies backs was incredibly fun. You wouldn't know whether you were safe or not. The game was a little rough around the edges, but nothing that stops you from playing it.

Hah yeah, Kane & Lynch was good at the time. Having mass shootouts on the streets with cops, using cars and stuff as cover... before GTA IV came along and made it better. But there's no denying that the multiplayer on K&L was brilliant, I wish GTA would steal it and make it better too tounge.gif

But K&L was a direct affront to what made Hitman unique. No carefully planning executions, it was just one mass continuous shootout. I can understand Hitman fans' concerns about the game copying it's cousin's formula in the new game.

Dunno if it's posted here already, but take a look.

This guy worked on Hitman: Blood Money's White House level, and worked on most levels of Kane & Lynch games, and now he's working for Absolution. ph34r.gif

Anybody have a good guess as to when this game is due out? Seems like I've been following it for ages.

It may be irrelevant to this topic, but today on Steam all three Hitman games are for £3.74, or £1.49 each!

Highly advised to get them all or Hitman: Blood Money.

I am sad that I already have BM from Summer sales ;/

Yeah, Blood Money is great. Was playing it not so long ago on my 360 but you need to use the old AVI cables.

Man, they're taking away so many things from the old games it only leaves you to wonder if it's going to be worth it. New voice actor, new musical composer, "more melee accessible".

Yeah it's sad to know that IOI taking away some of the original concepts of the game. This game looks more action game than stealth. It seems they're trying to follow the footsteps of Splinter Cell: Convictions.

you know, the third trailer should have been used to show the more stealthier aspects that the fans want to see. no, covering someone's mouth while shooting them with an unsilenced pistol doesn't count.

just saying.

I've reached the point that I could live without Bateson, or Kyd, but the gameplay still looks like generic shooter crap. I'm completely turned off by it.
