QUOTE (radioman @ Friday, Aug 31 2012, 13:54)
Because the barriers are controlled by the game version(.exe)

It's not the exe version that determines the player's barriers and objects, it's the data files from the installation - GTA3.IMG, a huge image with most of the sounds, objects, textures, and whatnot all bundled together. If a v2 player "downgrades" to a v1 exe so they can do some modding they will still have v2 barriers and objects.

I could explain in more detail what's going on with the barriers and other map changing objects if anyone is really all that interested.

@ 0909090: I don't believe this turn is valid, since you said you've done the Lowrider Race. According to the rules, you're not allowed to do that race before the actual mission that uses that raceline, which is High Stakes, Low-rider. Same goes for Badlands A which is Wu Zi Mu and also Badlands B which is Farewell, my love.

QUOTE
Tournament Races
With the exception of the 3 races that must be done within the storyline ("Lowrider Race" & "Badlands A/B"), all races are exempt from the 'one named mission rule'. Unlike the other exceptions, you cannot do as many as you like though.

@jajs brother can you change your completion % in your latest turn?, its wrong. Please fix it so DREVIL or miromiro can determine your % in the stats.

...talking about correcting turns, shoumic, you might consider editing this turn with the 8-Track event you've completed, so that Dr. Evil will know who to put as a completer in the checklist.

Calling a turn doesn't mean that you have to do a storyline mission. And since you edited your post, and the edit-by line was visible, and you haven't posted anything related to the turn you were going to take, it was considered that you forfeited. Plus, how would we have been supposed to know what you were going to do?

The Chain Game pretty much works the same was as the Save N' Play:

QUOTE
7. DO NOT pre-Edit your post. Pre-Edit means, after you've downloaded the requested file and made your reply for your "I'm on it" you then click the edit button so that when you come back all you have to do is just enter in the results. Why sholdn't you do this? Because on some rare occasions myself or another led-by might make an edit to your post while you're work on filling the request and by pre-editting your post you don't see and end up over writing whatever was there to give you that heads up of something.

Not at all. I've watched you when you took the turn, and your original post was "My turn" which obviously had no spelling mistakes in it. Then, after some minutes you came and said that you wouldn't do the next mission, indirectly telling that you're not taking the turn.

Yes but you didn't need to take the turn if you knew that you can't do the mission. And you didn't say you were going to do something else, so I suppose we were supposed to guess it?

I don't know who told you that you'd be PMed by somebody about a mistake you did before actually you do it. Just do what you are allowed to do and that's it. Chain Game works in a simple way, you call a turn and the next edit must contain the turn you've taken with the things allowed to be done by you. If anything's wrong, you'll be told.

JAJ himself, read the post and presumed that you were forfeiting, else he wouldn't have take the turn.
All members/players should be aware that what they post must be taken at face value.
Don't Post anything more than you need to to take a turn.
If you are posting say what you ARE going to do.

Umm, just call a turn and take it? We're not going to annul two turns only because you meant something else than what you posted.

We carry on with the last posting. There is no need to back track (no pun intended.)
We must all be more careful as to what we say in turn postings.
No one should have to 'guess' as to what a player might be doing.

Because both were your mistakes. Those turns were annulled because you didn't read the first post saying that you can't do those missions as a V1 player. Now you said something but meant something else. I'm sorry, but you'll have to tell us more carefully what you're going to do and what not.

As I already told you, you don't need to tell that you don't do this or that, simply don't do it. Now feel free to take the next turn.
