@OrionSR
I just got an engineless NRG-500 at the Mullholand armory. I put it in the garage at El Corona and saved the game here. http://gtasnp.com/28981

Just info for you to check, if you want.

Damn cool. Nice find. I think that's only the second time someone has reported finding an engineless NRG spawning randomly in the chain game. The first one I ever spawned took forever to generate. I had (actually, I still do) my trainer set to spawn an NRG whenever I press PgUp and I made piles upon piles of them until I couldn't spawn anymore. Then I blew them all up and spawned even more. After what must have been thousands of spawns one finally dropped so I could put it in a garage and figure out the the specific variation. That model is still used in the current chain game saves. The original is the plum NRG stored in the Palomino Creek garage for the Chain Game Rallies.

@OrionSR
It just happened again in the same place, the Mulholland armory. I put it in El Corona again, if you want to look at it. http://gtasnp.com/28984 I have been playing for several hours, trying to get Katie's Romero and the bike spawned again.

Interesting. I've always suspected that certain conditions might make this unusual variation more likely, but I haven't a clue what might trigger it. According to pdescobar that variation should not happen. Are you loading a save at the armory and walking outside to find the engineless NRG? If so, then I'd like to take a look at the save you are loading.

pomor recently reported an interesting exploit that might be useful to players of the Chain Game. I haven't tested it yet, but as I understand it, he was able to lower the barriers between LS and SF when he failed the Green Sabre mission while collecting the proofed Sentinels. I was unaware of this exploit before pomor's report. Has anyone else seen reference to this before?

Off hand it occurs to me that this exploit could be used as a work around for the version restrictions of the Green Sabre mission. If a player with the correct version for that round were to fail Green Sabre then anyone should be able to complete it without leaving the save with a barrier glitch. For example, a player may want to extend their Reuniting the Families turn with a vehicle collection, drop the barriers to shuffle cars to or from SF garages, or make it easier to return from 4 star gang wars in SF.

At the very least, we should be aware of this exploit so we don't accuse someone of hacking the save when there is a perfectly legitimate means to drop the barriers that complies with the CG rules.

The Chain Game is a game where players take a save game from 0% to 100% without using any kind of cheats / mods / trainers. Every player has to call a turn by simply posting a reply like "I'll take a turn" after which he downloads the save game posted by the previous player and passes a mission or more (see the rules for every detail). After that, he has to upload the save at gtasnp.com and edit the post that says "I'll take a turn" with the save game using the requested posting format (see first post for details). This is pretty much it.

Since this topic is only for completing turns, I'm going to lead you to the San Andreas Chain Game Lounge Topic - the place for asking questions and debating about the Chain Game. If you've got any other questions though, try looking at this post, since it might contain answered questions that you might have asked yourself. Have fun!

Happy Birthday Chain Game

The Chain Game is 6 years old today. Everyone is invited to celebrate by watching rubregg's Happy Birthday Chain Game video from 2009.

Thanks JAJ, officers, and players of the Chain Game for six great years.

55 days, 01:00h, 00:03m -- 79.263mins totally
I don't understand the math here. one hour equals 60 min.
So shouldn't it be 63 minutes totally?

He's using a period instead of a comma.

(55 days * 24 hours + 1 hour) * 60 minutes + 3 minutes = 79,263 minutes

blush.gif Silly me. Again, I have misread the statement.
The use of the 00:00 format after the 55 days didn't seem proper to me.
It should have been 55 days, 1 hour, and 3 minutes. Plane and simple.
Elsewise it might have been stated as, (days:hours:minutes) 55:01:03. smile.gif

@miromiro
You need to explain what you mean by an invalid turn in your CG Statistics. I had no invalid turns, I did forfeit once but so did two other people. There is nothing invalid about a forfeit its just that a forfeit. There were 9 players, two who forfeited there turns and never took another turn and 7 players who played one or more turns. Statistically they should be shown as a player with a 0 turns and 0 %s. They were involved in the game, however they didn't contribute to the overall 100%.

I considered the forfeited turn as invalid. And since you've also contributed to the 100% completion you were added there. I didn't include GameCh33ta & the other guy since it'd have been pointless. If you want I could modify that, though I don't see big deal in it.

You could change the word invalid to forfeit, which is more apt.

@miromiro
It's just your choice of the word INVALID. Yes, it would be pointless to add GC and Forcefield to the stats as they wouldn't change the overall %s. As putting my forfeit as an invalid turn didn't change my overall stats or the game overall stats. Again, I think the word invalid is just the wrong word to use. I just don't see the relevance of having a category that doesn't contribute to the overall statistics of the individual or overall stats. Maybe, like lil weasel said FORFEIT or Turns called not taken or something other than INVALID. That sounds too much like it was a turn that was against the rules or was illegal.

Alright, I edited it a little, and decided to only take into consideration annulled turns. Hope it's all cool now. cool.gif
