| QUOTE (TheDude5000 @ Sep 18 2007, 04:46) | | QUOTE (SIP YEK NOD @ Sep 18 2007, 03:42) | | Just a little FYI, the 360 no likey 8 hour skate sessions. |
Really dude? I believe I once passed out with my 360 still on with the Office Space DVD still idling at the main menu...when I woke up the 360 was still doing just fine, wasn't really that hot, no RROD...and I've read many testimonies from people about playing launch consoles into the wee hours of the night and following morning/afternoon and claiming no RROD or problems. If you keep the thing ventilated, you shouldn't have problems. I'm hoping you already know that...
EDIT: Actually it was either Tommy Boy or Office Space.. | It quite simply does not get better ventilated than that. but still, after 8 hours strait, the system froze, i was able to shut it down from the controller, but had to turn it on at the console. it was fine after that, i played DOA:X2 uhh.....bioshock for two hours and it was fine.

| QUOTE (SIP YEK NOD @ Sep 18 2007, 13:50) | | It quite simply does not get better ventilated than that. | I dissagree. Yes, you have a good fan, but it's in a small cabinet, and the fan can't blow directly into the 360. I currently have mine set up on a wireframe shelf, directly over a vent that blows cold air 24/7. Not claiming it's the best, but I don't see how a fan that blows out warm air, and has to travel around the 360 in a small closed cabinet right beside a PS3 is better. And like TheDude said, I've left mine on two days straight, no problems. Wasn't smart, granted, but when you have no HDD, you're desperate (was back when I had the corrupt HDD, and was waiting for a new one from MS). Was a little bit louder than usual, but after I left it off for a few minutes, it was back to normal. I shall now wait for you to show me how yours is better, because I know it'll be true.

@RMT:

the air comes in holes at the back at ground level, goes through a furnace dust filter, gets sucked up by the fan, pushed into the bottom shelf, through holes drilled in the right side of the top shelf, and out holes by the 360. it flows quite heavily throughout the entire case. you can also feel quite heavy airflow coming out the back of the case at the top. not to mention the incoming air charge is further cooled by time spent below the bottom shelf against a 12*c cement floor.
i do, infact have the best cooling solution.
ps. the fact that it is a small cabinet means the air flow faster, and closer to the 360. so while the speed of the air is quickly being dissapated into your room, and maybe 10% of the air coming out of the vent even comes close to the 360, i have large volumes of air rushing through mine.

Quoted for Sip... | yes, the 360 has to be on.
