Here are some of my favorites.

Desmond Dekker and the Aces - the israelites

Man, I was thinking of posting that, but never got around to it. One of the best ska(?) artists i know.

I Love Desmond Dekker. Did you know that in the 60/70s the was criticized for promoting "rude boy" culture, or the Jamiacan gangster/thug culture, sound familiar?

No, i didn't know that, lol. i don't think listening to Dekker would make you more likely to commit a crime, or atleast i wouldn't. but that has been the case all through out history hasn't it? i mean nearly every popular music style or lifestyle has always been blamed for every problem in society at some point of time confused.gif

and my fav. (got me into dub music)

Got a Niney the Observer album recently, Space Flight Dub is what it's called.

It may sound like bad 80's dub, but it's still cool.

Max Romeo - I chase the devil, what a brilliant song.

You can't go wrong with a bit of Bob Marley either.

Anyone listen to Slightly Stoopid? Not sure if you would call it straight up reggae, but it's influenced by it.
