Gentlemen. You know the deal. From Rooney to Ronaldo, Le Tissier to Bergkamp and Pele to Maradona...we've all seen some sensational goals...so post the best of all time.
If you are not familiar with how to apply the youtube tag...here's a little rundown. Go to youtube or whatever site you'll get the video from. Find the video you want and go to the URL on the right hand side of the video, and copy just the lettered video code at the end. Like this...
URL=
CODE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wozEF0bORxQ
Video Code=
CODE
wozEF0bORxQ
Paste that last part into your post where you want it. And use the "youtube" code like this...
CODE
[youtube]CuFSZXFd3x4[/youtube]
And your end product will be this...
Steven Gerrard v West Ham
Diego Maradona v England
Esteban Cambiasso v Serbia
Zinedine Zidane v Bayer Leverkusen
Xabi Alonso v Newcastle
Hakan Sukur v ?
Matthew Le Tissier v Newcastle
Ronaldinho v Villareal
Marco van Basten v Soviet Union

Zidane's Champions League Final cracker against Bayer Leverkusen.
There is a goal by an Italian player which I saw ages ago where it looks like he is crossing the ball but it has some wicked curl on it and manages to lob the keeper. It's from a World cup from the 70s or 80s, if anyone has a Youtube link to it I would greatly appreciate it
right i know this thread is a bit awkward but im new to all this youtube stuff so if anybody could help me or give me advice id really appreciate it!...perhaps a mod could update my first post aswell as creating a table with the most votes on ....as you probably have gathered ( or may not) this took me a very long time to conduct and it isnt at a good standard so much help from experts on this forum would be amazing to me!!
votes so far are :gerrards goal versus west ham in the fa cup final(which i havnt uploaded because it would be too much hassle): 2 , cambiasso : 1 and zidane with 1
i hope this thread doesnt die as a lot of my time aand effort was put into it!

I'll try to watch as many as I can and then vote, but before I do, I've got one that should be included: Mart Poom's flying header. Injury time equaliser from a keeper (who just happens to be the great Poominator), and not only that, but I don't think I've ever seen an outfield player head the ball like that. Brilliant
Oh and maybe you should just edit a topic and we pick the goals we like, and post a youtube video of it instead of 75+ choices which nobody has time to watch all..

I also approve of the amount of Bergkamp goals
You sure you're not thinking of Marco Van Basten's goal for the Netherlands, versus the USSR in the 1988 European Championship in Germany? It was very like you described.
Here's another cracker from Ronnie Whelan, playing for Ireland in the same tournament, once again, versus the USSR
But here's my all time favourite. Diego Maradonna's second for Argentina versus England in the 1986 World Cup semi final in Mexico. That will always take some beating. Incidentally, that was the same game in which he scored the infamous goal with his hand. England still haven't forgiven him

no , i dont think he is , as marco van bastens was a volley , and i think pandazoot was on about a stright cross which went in...

No it wasn't that...however I have found the video of the goal. It's from World Cup 78 and is actually scored by a Brazillian by the name of Nelinho...against Italy from the looks of things. I'll let the video do the talking.
