Finally after over 2 years, here is the new "ingame" dev kit of the northern islands for Myriad Islands CMP.

This is a standalone install of the 2 northern islands and is primarily aimed at lot developers.

Here are the lot request maps.

if you're new to Myriad, please post pictures as proof of your abilities in the PPT3.

the lot list and the maps will be updated as soon as we can get it done.

you have 3 months to release your lot after being assigned it.

Dev Kit installation instructions.

1. install a fresh copy of San Andreas and run the game. (you must use an unmodified SA install folder)
2. run mapcleaner by steve-m to remove the SA map.
3. open your Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\models folder and check to see if gta_int.img is still present, if it is, delete it.
4. doubleclick the dev kit installer and point it towards the mapcleaned SA folder.
5. you should now have a running install of the illnorth dev kit.

Download 3dsmax 9 DEVKIT from 4shared ----- illnorth_dev_kit.zip



3D Studio max files are temporary hosted on 4shared untill the final devkit will be launched which is unsure if that will take place cause most of us already have their own custom devkits to work from.

In important topics:
  • Don't use [center].
  • Do lists as real lists using [list] or [list=1] or [list=a] and [*].
  • Do data tables using [tableb] with sane use of [th]. Don't use these for normal content.
  • Don't use [u]. (Headings are best as [size=5] or [size=7]).
  • Ideally, use an image location which other trusted MISA people have access to. The work involved in lot map updates can then be shared.
  • Use correct punctuation:
    • Capitalise first letter of sentences.
    • Use apostrophes correctly (e.g. plural of ID is IDs).
    • Don't use sequences of full stops (periods). Just use one (followed by a space).
  • Make code samples obvious using [b].
  • Provide authoritative links to any references you make, such as SA Map Cleaner by Steve-M.
  • Use correct names for any references you give, such as above (it's not "mapcleaner").
  • Don't cover two important subjects in the same thread (i.e. the release of a new developer pack and a new lot requests system).
You don't have to do this all the time, of course. But when writing a message which you expect lots of others to use as a guide, make it as easy to follow as possible.

If you see me on MSN and don't have time to do this yourself, I'll recode it like this for you.

Well, Mixazzz and Mahmuti, you both have modelling skills.
Some texture and prelighting issues need addressing, but that's another story.
What are your ideas for the lots? Let us all know.
Please keep in mind that illurb lots are very large, even the smallest will take some time to fill.
Let's see some more WIP pics. Please post any pics in PPT3

It's not up to me, but, active lot modellers are always welcome.

Mahmutil: I think the idea was to keep illurb fairly low rise, so sykscrapers are out. Multi storey is fine, just no super tall office blocks (that's what parts of illcom were for). The rest sounds fine.

Mixazzz: I'm not so sure about a train station either. Why not make it a bus station/depot?

Please remember the size of these lots. 79 is big and 22 is massive. Take a look at my 88 lot in PPT3 to get an idea of how much it takes to fill the smallest. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to put either of you off.
I hope to see some pics soon.

My works on lot which Alex should lay out but why that has not laid out. It not the final model, and the first building, at it will be an interior. Animated objects and structures.
