As a PS2 player, the only "paranormal" things on SA are the "ghost cars" and "weird looking alien-type things".
The ghost cars are just cars (usually Glendales?) that spawn in the steep terrain in Back O' Beyond. Since they're on a hill, they start rolling, but no one is driving.
And then these cars will hit a tree or shrub, and break off a branch. The branch starts rolling downhill. But from a distance, at first, they do look and move "otherworldly".
But I did see a pretty neat Leatherface vid on Youtube. In the end it kills CJ. Nice...

Sam Houser added Bigfoot as a joke and Terry Donovan demanded that he be removed from the game. Houser said he would remove the beast, but didn't and decided not to tell Donovan. Donovan, not knowing about the creature's existence, stated "There is no Bigfoot, just like in real life." After finding out about Bigfoot's existence in the game, Donovan stated that he was misled and Bigfoot is in the game. Houser said that players only have a 1/10 chance of finding Bigfoot. He did not mean for him to be so rare to find, but couldn't risk Donovan finding out about it. Houser and Donovan apologized for this misunderstanding and said they will try to put Bigfoot in Grand Theft Auto: 4, but no confirmation as been made whether they decided to add the monster or not."

I remember oct 2004 well , was xmas morning for most so to speak . The game was so huge , half the time you said to hell with the mission , I wana explore .
When I got out of LS , I decided I wanted to climb chiliad not using the paths if possible , after hours of trying , I reloaded the game and restarted the mission I was on . Days later the bigfoot myths started being posted . So I imagine thousands of people were doing something similar to what I was doing at the same time . The game can be realisitic scenery wise at times , and I have read it gives people the creeps up there . So put 1 and 1 together , and Bigfoot is born .
A few days after that Leatherface , then UFO's . Suprisingly Jason took quite a while to pop up as a myth .
I find the myths entertaining in a way . So here are a few tributes to them , that I have made :

I always wondered where some of the Big Foot Footage was being ripped off from....So they ripped it off from you, eh?......At least that is how it looks.... Kinda surprised to find out the Big Foot stuff goes back that far but Hey I was too game engrossed to check any online stuff at the time. Those are all classic in my book. Thanx LAD! This thread has just improved entirely IMAO.

The person in Fort Carson whos supposed to be a serial killer... does anyone actually know if hes a serial killer? He just looks normal, thats all.
Is there any myths which have actually been confirmed btw? The Big Foot ones bullsh*t, I think we can all agree on that.
R* went to put a gang in the desert but the decided not to and deleted all the members but forgot him and he just walks around and say sh*t about aliens nothing to it

That would be cool. A desert Cowboy Gang called Highland Posse or somthing like that!

You know SA is a big world.There are cars plains seas , rivers , voods everything that is in the real world , and i think that there are no world without myths
Ok... I love myths in the game and i hunt for em all the time. So far, all i have found is this: One day I was looking for bigfoot and I decided to mess around with the ghost cars. I went up there as usual and I saw the one that usually rolls down hill wasn't rolling. I went up to it, heard it making the driving sound, and took a close look at it. There was a tree that had spawned in the middle of it. Weirdest thing is, it was like someone was in it and holding down the gas because the back wheels spun the whole time and i could see sparks coming from the tree. I also couldn't jump on it because it would pop me up in the air and push me away. This is on the PS2 version and i even have a pic from the backside showing a spark coming from the tree and dust at the wheels. Weird huh? most people think it rolls down the hill. It actually drives.
