I still want an Interceptor so I can take my son, Jensen, for a ride in it...then make a horrible "So we put a Jensen in your Jensen" meme.

Also, I just want an Interceptor. I think a minivan (honda from the looks of it), a GSX-R1000, and a Jensen will go well together in a garage. Or at least good enough so I can keep my man card while still owning a minivan.

Lurch, take it. Take it now. You don't have to pour money into it right away, do it gradually so it doesn't make too much of a dent in your account balance.

Better to have it and not need it than to want it but not have it. Besides, if he's just giving it to you..

Getting the Weber on the Amazon has been alot more work than it first seemed. The intake was not leveled with the exhaust so the bolts would fit almost diagonally. That, and the throttle linkage needed modification after all.

From now on I'm going to keep my cars stock.

Ah! I see, sorry I don't know where I got the idea of the Lincoln from.

How much do you think you'll be able to get for your Volvo? You fixed it up quite a bit when you first got it right?

While I have done some work to it, they're dirt cheap over here unless it's a sport version (123GT), station wagon or totally mint. I'm hoping for 12-15 000 SEK which is what an Amazon in similar shape goes for. smile.gif

I think the condition to get it is I have to be able to fix. I'm just not there financially at the moment.

Just getting it running would be nice. Would love to have a convertible for the summer. I would obviously have to put some kind of sidepipe on it with a glasspack or it wouldn't be to my liking.

Crown Vics, Chevy Blazers, El Caminos... The lot. Are they more expensive than in the US?

From what I've gathered, a good(ish) condition older cars like the ones you listed wont be too expensive, maybe around the range of $5000 for a looked after El Camino.

Source is from watching bullsh*t shows like Carfellas on Discovery lol (i'm obviously no expert in this matter, better off getting an answer from Lurch) tounge2.gif

Too many variables on El Caminos. I've seen some go for $500 and some go for $75,000.

Hell, you could be looking at over $100k for one of this exact spec.

That's here. No idea on the price of them in China. Add whatever importation other bullsh*t fees on top of the above figure.

I wasn't thinking of importing one, was just trying to answer Garfield's question. wink.gif

I found out theres a 20 year old limit on cars being imported into China so pretty much any classic worth importing is out of the question. cryani.gif

Wow, that would be enough to make me leave the country. Like every good car ever is over 20 years old.

You have no idea how sad it made me when I found out. For such a long time I imagined my older self driving to work in a Buick Grand National. Now that dream is dead.

Not sure if this would be possible, but could you have the car registered elsewhere, and Drive it there?

Move somewhere else. It seems like someone in your situation has the means to do so.

My car will be 27 come October. It's awesome. So long as it doesn't break on me (hasn't really yet. knock on wood), it costs me barely anthing to drive. It's even permanently registered. It makes me really not want a newer car.
