Now that I'm really understanding how to edit LC .txd's and such, it feels like I've unlocked just a huge bundle of possibilities. I've already started filming my new movie, and I'm also editing many aspects of the mod so that it feels more like the 80's(my movie takes place in 1984, a lot of the stuff in the mod is from '01 so there are obvious anachronisms that I had to fix). I've gotten some new metal shirts in, some new billboards, and even got some VC cars in! A pic of my two recent conversions, the 80's cop car from VC(which I edited to remove the Vice text/logo and replaced it with an LC one), and a VC taxi as well:

Also, I cleaned up the airtrain texture, and I'm gonna try to use some SA models to create an interior for the terminal. I'm even creating an airliner interior for filming purposes.

I'm not sure if this topic is gonna be bumped much, at least by other users, but I really am gonna do a lot of cool stuff so I hope we can get the screenshot posting activity up.

Thanks a bunch. Don't mean to pat myself on the back here, but for every scene in the movie that takes place in Liberty, there probably will have been hours worth of modding work done to make it happen.

I usually don't try to reveal too much of my upcoming movies, but those billboards won't be in the movie for more than a few seconds, and some might be barely visible or not in it at all, so I might as well just show them. My goal is to edit every advert in the city so as to not have any anachronisms for my movie. I think I'm gonna reach that goal at this rate.

nice, i always thought of how the 80s would be in liberty city, if you can add some neon lights itd be perfect, great job overall.

Yeah neon lights would add a lot to the 80's atmosphere I guess. They're kinda hard to make, but I might give it a shot. As for the land, I think it'd be cool to have a town there or something, I don't know.

My Mafia Sentinel:




The Vice City Sentinel XS works great as the Mafia Sentinel in GTA:LC. I also replaced the Infernus and Cheetah with their VC Counterparts but left the GTA3 color palette and wheels so they look modern.

That is just the Sentinel XS TXD/DFF renamed to "mafia.txd" and "mafia.dff". I just extracted the Sentinel XS from Vice City and overwrote the Mafia Sentinel from GTALC and left the handling and color palette exactly the same.

I did the same for the normal Sentinel as well, I'm trying to find all the cars that have better versions in Vice City (IMO) and replace them. I almost wouldn't mind bringing over the Police cars and Taxis, but I would need to get rid of the "VC" lettering from them.

The Actual Beta Cheetah from early devolopment of GTA3 was actually called the "Rocket" and had a slightly differant front end also (its longer and not so sleek)

Can anybody tell me exactly where that shot was taken?

If ever you need any advice on GTA3 Beta.. ask me, im a huge fan of the Beta Liberty City.. as in my opinion it was better.. i mean afterall portland had a Nuclear power plant and the Airport was located at the top of staunton island And shoreside Vale.. well that was alot more interesting to say the least
