Nah, it's basically whenever I get around to putting together all the updates into a package. Aside from that, it's whenever CTM comes back to finish off his installer. Hopefully it won't be too long before we have a full v7 version out for everyone .

@SteaVor - Oki doke, no worries. When I've done the BAT file, I'll send it off to you for verification, eh? That way you can correct anything if need be .

ok this works now, i installed this gta:lc to my vice city folder but when i launch it, the game launches, i click start new game and it loads half of the bar and crashes and goes to desktop and gives this error box:



maybe i got wrong version or what?
ty if u know how to fix =)

If you have an unpurchased version of VC, then chances are that's your problem. Buy the game and everything should work fine, if you installed LC properly.

And just saying that you "can't get it to work" doesn't help us at all. Read the HTML readme included with the download package, or the first post of this topic, and give us some more info. Because until you do, we're not going to be able to help you.

hey can i use your claude models in one of my mods thats coming up? it makes vc in year 2000 year gta3 was based on and it has all gta3 cars and well claude i need the prison claude regular claude and well maybe the cs claude

I don't have a problem with people using aspects of LC in their own mods, provided that credit is given. Because we generally don't know exactly who did what, it's probably best if you just credit the entire team - something along the lines of:

in gta 3, the year was 2001 and there is no such thing as a cs claude model. in gta3, they used the player model because he doesn't talk.

thanks for letting me use the claude models there is actually a cs model in gta3 the first one were they rob the bank that one is not ingame it is used for that cutscene only

I installed the latest LC mod, and i'm using the html link that comes with it
for installation instructions. I need to create the Show Config utility.

In Vista, I right click in the LC folder and click "New" and the only option
is "Folder"--there's no "Shortcut."

Ah, that's a bit of a problem. I don't have Vista, but in XP you can also right click on gta-lc.exe and select Create Shortcut (it's near Copy and Paste) - does Vista have this option too?

If it does, then you just need to right click on your shortcut, go to properties, and in one of the tabs, there's a Target path box. Add -showconfig after it (as per the Readme instructions) and then click Apply. You can rename the shortcut Show Config too, if you like.

If that doesn't work, I'm not sure how you could do it - it makes it hard when I've never seen Vista in action . Let me know how it goes please, so I can update the readme if necessary.

Rightio - thanks for the heads-up about Show Config for Vista. I'll update the readme with that for next time .

I don't think I put the LC intro movie in the download package because I wanted to keep it as small as possible.

I'm not sure why you're not getting any sound though - even if you didn't install the LC SFX, the VC SFX should still play sounds. Does VC work fine for you?

You could take a look at the VC Bugs/Solutions List and see if there's anything on there that might work for LC.

And I'm not sure why the word Audio would be a different colour either . Can you post a screenshot please? That's something that either MM or AK might know more about than me.

I tried the different ASI file and different compatibility modes--same
reaction.

VC runs fine.
