Have you ever thought of getting a sound card? The onboard sound these days isn't bad but nothing compares to a dedicated card. Even a low range card sounds miles better.

Had my old PC back off my brother. Not sure if I'll keep it or go back to using my Macbook. I'm missing the SSD and OSX. Obviously the Radeon 6850 in this runs circles around my Macbook for gaming though.

Its not high on my list of priorities at the moment in terms of new PC purchases- I've just invested in another 8GB RAM though. That said, the weak point in my sound system is most definitely the onboard HD audio.

Just installed OSX Mountain Lion. The first OS I have ever bought

I just installed it, ran it and it worked fine.
Only thing is, highest resolution it can do is 1600x1200 or 1440x900 and I have 1920x1080
But it doesn't really matter, because I have AA at highest so it's still sharp
