PC ChatThis forum is for all things computer related. Technical questions about hardware, software, upgrades, building your own PC, etc... But as always, no warez. Be sure you read the pinned pre-post topic labled "READ BEFORE YOU POST A QUESTION" before you create a new thread. If this topic does not clear up your problem, by all means proceed with a new thread creation. This topic also explains some of the info you (and those replying) will need to know in order to get a helpful and speedier reply.

| QUOTE (Azazel @ Saturday, Apr 7 2012, 11:35) | It's an optional fan module that came with my RAM (Corsair Dominators). Clamps onto the RAM socket like so:

Doubt that I actually need it, but the fans are very silent, and it looked kinda cool after I removed the stickers. |
Oh it's 2 separate pieces. From that angle it looks like they could be together. Then what is the cooler over the CPU? @Vextroid Seriously, you have all of that installed? Why? As you said you have yet to play most of them, from the sound of it. I've got about 30-40 games in Steam I have yet to play and about 10-20 physical games in the same boat. But I only install 1 at a time, play it, delete it, install the next one. Having that much "crap" on your drive can slow down your system because the drive has to scan over everything to get to the thing it really needs. If you want to me to explain that better I can. So my system never has any slowdowns (other that trying to run games more then the GPU can handle ofcourse ).

I took a pic in which I was temped for a long time, here, way back when, some remember. Posted a collection of all my PCs I had been storing, however, not even all of them were in that picture, I was told DESKTOP meant the actual VIRTUAL one, not internal pictures of your computer, or computers' external cases. How come you guys are doing that here? Make a new thread to show the hardware, Here's an actual desktop of mine, I finally became a little less lazy to screen cap one. When I'm using my ACER formatted to Vista Ultimate, 32bit, this is the one! Also to note, the BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH had plagued it, so when that was reformatted and re-registered effectively with MS, I used a Bich Supreme for my wallpaper, so it does keep changing here and there, when I get bored. the drive is 242GBs, effective space IIRC I shrunk it to 70 percent smaller, and the below image 75% smaller I capped this first to show PREVX CSI at work, it updates as mandatory if you let it slide months at a time, and pesters you for an online checkup This post has been edited by Slamman on Thursday, Apr 19 2012, 11:12

| QUOTE (les @ Friday, Apr 20 2012, 13:41) | | EDIT: For some reason the images have all kinds of artifacts, anyone know of an image hosting site that will host 3200x1080 files without f*cking them up? | Auld Reekie, looks nice in that pic.
Anywhoo, I can't seem to see anything about compression factors mentioned on this site but it does allow very large files sizes, so by that very loose logic then you should be able to store the full uncompressed image... well most of my *ahem* content has come from there and that looks fine.
