Off to see Mastodon, Opeth and Ghost. The one time I actually wish Opeth wasn't headlining. Their last setlist was a huge bummer. I'm not usually one to complain about a lack of songs with death growls but I think this may have been the first time I've been slightly bored by progressive rock. There are a few great songs on Heritage but as a whole...meh.

So then Opeth is headlining these shows? I wasn't sure if they were or not, so I guess then I will be heading to Chi-town to go see them. Sans-growling, doesn't matter, I love me some Opeth. Plus I missed Mastodon last year when they stomped through here, so there's that.
I can't really get in to Ghost, but I heard their live show is pretty fuggin' good.

Looking at their setlist from last night's show in the US, the Opeth set isn't too shabby:
The Devil's Orchard I Feel the Dark Windowpane Slither Burden The Lines in My Hand Folklore The Grand Conjuration Deliverance
The last two will end the show with a bang at least. Will be interested to see if they decide to use a part of this set at Download festival. Festival crowds can be f*cking lame if the bands aren't playing heavy stuff. Either way I won't give a f*ck, I'm getting to the front and touching myself for the duration of the set

As much as we love metal, don't double post, edit your first one to include updates until someone replies to you, or posts
I put the Destruction tune Bestial Invasion up before, not TOO long ago, unlike you guys I imagine, the riff from that song never leaves my mind fully, I can be anywhere and I start to sing how the riff goes, just great THRASH MASTER CLASSIC METAL!

KISS may not be metal, but Hard Rock is just as "cool", they made the RSS news feed for looking to hire a Veteran as a roadie, gotta give 'em props for that, but even the usually traditional news media chose to cover the story, odd!
Napalm and Barney doing tribute to KREATOR, nice find, can't really eclipse Mille Petrozza's vox though! haha I said HI to Barney once, at a local gig, before the show he was walking around outside, and of course, at Milwaukee Metal Fest saw the band play at least once out there

Nice, so if all goes as planned, they will be headlining when they hit Chicago.
Also found out that the storm corrosion stuff is up for pre-sale. Just ordered the LP bundle. I have high expectations for this project.

Nice to see people talking about Mastodon and Opeth. I'm new in the forum and i'm kinda suprised, gotta admit.
Anyway, saw Mastodon for the 2nd time on January (first time as headliners) and they were awesome. Much better then the first time i saw them but its not their fault (they only played 45 min on ALIVE festival, in Portugal).
