On the subject of concerts, Heaven And Hell, Megadeth, and Down are coming to Vancouver. I'm dying to go, but I can't get in alone, and even if I could, it's a metal concert and I'm a kid. That means no moshing, which is half the experience.

It is awesome that immortal is going to play one of its shows in NY, its highly possible that I will go, also a friend recently called me and said that cannibal corpse is supposed to be here on apr. 29th, last day of spring break, getting tickets soon, if it is true. As for Wacken, can someone smuggle me there? The show+ lineup is just killer, its a shame that there isn't such a great festival here in the states.

Well at least we have Ozzfest for free.

I'm still down for Wacken 08. The people in this topic should definately open and fun and start saving up so we can make the pilgrimage.

Oh and Cannibal Corpse being there would probably be rather lame. I mean the new album is cool but apparently they're banned from playing any material from their first 3 albums in Germany so so much for Hammer Smashed Face.

Holy crap tickets for immortal are at 60 a piece, add on extra convenience charges and you got yourself an arm and a leg, or money well spent. I also noticed that 1349, Goatwhore, Nachtmystium and Averse Sefira are playing at b.b. kings on apr. 1st. Definitely going to see that.

Has anyone here heard of Lightning Bolt? They've been described as speed metal, math-rock, experimental, etc. To me, they sound pretty damn good. Loud blasts of bass guitar and non-stop streaming of drums.

I'm not a big fan of noise music, and lightning bolt reminds me a lot of melt banana, and that's not a good thing.
