Well you need two triangles above the door/roof/whatever in order to add the texture.

you will need to create new geometry, texture it, and attach it to the vehicle. There are plenty of tutorials that cover this process in depth, for a variety of 3d modeling programs.

Indeed, I recommend using Zanoza Modeler 1.07 which you can download here. Reason why I recommend it? It's free lol.

A tutorial on UV Mapping is here and if you wish to figure out some basic controls, a gloss over <plug>this tutorial</plug> is advised.
