I was always bothered with the fact that you could only post screens of cars and maps, because there were no other WIP topics. Well, here is the PPC for misc. stuff. I'd say, post anything that doesn't belong in the other PPC's here.

I'll start it off with a player model I'm doing:




I think it looks good so far.

Left to do:

His belt, pants, and rigging it. (which I probably won't be able to do myself)

Making it right for GTA.

Decent idea, but because the misc. topic isnt generally that busy surely its quite acceptable for people to post their own topics/wip?

btw, your batman player model looks pretty good.

Well, yeah, I guess, but when you show something in a separate topic, it's often expected to be for GTA and to be released at some point. At least that's my experience with topics dedicated to one WIP. So, I don't know, I guess it'll be used when it'll be used, but I do hope some people will show off their stuff here.

No doubt I will use it for random things I start. I mean Ive only made one or two individual topics in the misc. section for weapons, but that was just modelling progress then thats where it stopped.

All my stuff I didnt know/learn how to texture, so I guess this may be of some help here, if I ever start and want some crit.

I like the idea teun nice work... i thought i should post something in here because quite simply i love the Misc Showroom......nothing i do ever seems to fit in anywhere else ....so yea i thought i should post something but i havnt been working on anything mod related since GTACS development stopped a week ago or something .....i have however been working on my Portfolio for uni......these models are the crap ones and kinda suck but hey its a WIP topic so i wont look like a complete idiot

I made it because i own one and its the best damn console on the planet . No console flaming but how can you beat motion sensor controllers? . At some point i was thinking of replacing the "CJD 500" console in CJs house with it or something......Does anyone know what that files in the IMG are for that?!

I made this just because it looked cool and i needed to do some architecture.....Might put it somewhere in SA, might not, no real point but it might amuse me for some short time...... Textures will be done fairly soon.....

Thats all the crap ive got for now but i plan to start making something useful sometime soon

The Batman is based on the one from Batman Begins, from 2005. I know the face texture sucks, but I will replace it by a higher-res one.

Hahahaha thats well funny ...Vista sucks.....i havn't used the final release but release candidate 2 was well bad.
Nice keyboard weapon thing....but you might want to consider modelling some keys

OK, I tried out Illspirit's tip on easy ped model rigging and it works like a charm:



If someone can send me Claude Speed's model from GTA3, I will try to make it into a player model for SA.

Batman's belt and pants or whatever they're called are hard to make. And he's probably just for show, as it would be pretty hard to put into GTA.

@BA: Nice wheel, dude.

I want to convert some models from GTA3 to SA, ped or player, so if someone would send me some, PM me, please. Claude and Joey would be cool for starters.

You should know better than to ask for original files...

If you want to convert Claude, why not just grab the Claude model from LC? I'll be doing a ped version of this soon myself and plan to use LC Claude as my starting point.

I too have been using Illspirits tips, and here's my converted "Mary" (HFYBU from Vice, using WFYBU from SA as a "base"):

As a "skin" (using the SCM as a switcher) - need to work the shoulders a bit. Kind of ape-like here.

That is looking great, looks and acts just like VC peds.

I guess I was a bit too enthusiastic about those models.

I also did Tommy Vercetti as ped. If only it were just as easy for player models. If SA used the same way of player model usage () it would be easy.

teun: My wheel may look nice (Thanks to DOHC_VTEC for getting it ingame) but it's pretty high poly for a wheel...about 3k last time I checked It fits a nice variety of cars too (Just needs a texture now...)

So I bought this 3DS guitar model for $5. Quite a deal, no? After several hours converting and bringing it into Z-Mod for the material stuff (couldn't find anything on this for Max), I wind up with this:



I can't figure out the weird shading; maybe it's because I scaled the model first (it was HUGE)? Anyway, it'll do for the 20 or so seconds I'll need it for.
