Maybe we can move forward with these designs and integrate flash buttons and some animations to mak the website more profesional in any kind of way, also i think a login system for accesing certain areas on the site may be handy for site owners / maintainers to edit content and post news , Something like Postnuke used to have. Hope it will change soon and that we can finnaly have a brand new design.

Hmm nice design...possible to make in HTML with a lil Jscipt too...though really a decent back end is what's needed 1st says me. Steve's working on that right? Shame jjs not about he's made a few in his time.
Nice one Mr. T. Reminds me of a travel brochure. Quite fitting.
Having a fake travel site would actually be a great idea. Could describe why it's a place you have to visit, have lots of nice looking screenshots (as photos) everywhere, and generally steal all the advertisement texts from real travel sites.
Yeah, like the way the accompanying book was with SA. Though best to keep in mind it's for a GTA game and not a Sims game. As a start point I'd say it's a good idea. As for site designs I saw some good starters posted, but an idea of what it should become, like the travel brochure idea, is imo the very first step in the further development of putting a face to the soul...
Hmm. Having a Flash site might not be the best idea. It looks cool and professional and all, but it's hard to update/modify, takes quite a while to make, and isn't viewable for everyone (and we can't afford the time the make an alternative html-only site). I'd say we go with a simple css-based layout, with well designed html so we could esily swap the stylesheet without having to do any markup changes. This way we could even offer multiple designs for users to choose from, should we have too many great ideas here.
We don't need the whole thing to be flash though. Maybe only the header, kinda like this... Keep in mind I threw the whole page in there just for sh*ts and giggles...
The header changes a little. In hindsite, I could have made the switch smoother, but hey. Also, remember back in the day the GTA3 site had the man or mouse thing? One could have some flash components while the other does not Both use the samereferances for the data though, yes?
What if I knock the flash down to its simple components, its really nothing more than images. I mean rahter than have a 600x80 banner at the top, have that in flash rather than a jpg. Besides, who doesn't have flash 7 or newer?

Tell you all what... Within the next three days, I'll make all the little images necessary for the flash to work interoperably with graphics. So, make the CSS layout as you would normally(read: normal with a header image or some sort) that could be swapped for a Flash component of the same size. So with that, have like a
Flash | Lite
intro thing. The Flash site could have a flash map and whatwho.
Are people really interested in this or what? I'm just wondering if I should do some work if the proper coders are not be going to... Yep, that's basically it. Let me know I suppose and I'll bump out those flash things. Otherwise, well... yeah.
