I'm getting really tired of my routine. I'm still in high school so I don't get to decide what I want to do during the week. Monday I get up and start school, tuesday through friday it's the same thing, and I can never get any personal work done on those days because I come home to sleep all day. On Saturday my grandmother comes over and takes us out to eat because she's lonely, I'd feel sorry for her if it wasn't for the fact that she's one of those people who watch Martha Stewart/Dr. Oz/Nancy Grace/etc. and always finds a way to insert their advice into every conversation. She also doesn't understand me very well, I'm the kind of person that doesn't talk to others because I can't find a way to make friendly small-talk, and she insists that I go out and make friends or join clubs, and makes me feel guilty because she always tells my father that she worries about my social health. Then Sunday rolls around. Sunday is probably the worst day because I know tomorrow will bring in the new week, and I'll have to live another week of this crappy lifestyle, and no matter how much fun I put into the day it still feels like a really bad afternoon all day.
I've tried doing a lot to make my weeks better. I've tried picking up hobbies, but school prevents a lot of hobbies that I'm interested in (Bird Watching, hiking, any hobbies that require travel really), and most of the other things I want to try are expensive (metal work, bonsai tree growing, electronics, etc.). I've also tried talking to my dad about my grandma, but we can never arrive at a solution that won't hurt her, and I don't think he takes me seriously.
The reason I rant about this now is because I've got eight weeks of school with no holidays until summer, and i'm going to be more tired than I've ever been in my life. I just wish I came across something that could change that.

Dude, I don't mean to bum you out or anything, but it only gets worse. There may only be a handful of years in one's life where it is semi free for all. Whether it be school, work, family...there is always too much sh*t to do that takes away from 'me time'.
Enjoy the sunny days. | From what I understand I at least get to have some control over what I do with my life later on. At my age I have no excuse for not showing up to school, or not showing up to a family reunion. Although if that's the case then f*ck it, I'm going to go learn to live off the land, and become a survival man.

| QUOTE (Rebel @ Thursday, Apr 5 2012, 13:13) | sharing a 6 bedroom house quite close to the city where I live costs around £85-110 per week, including bills in some places. On top of food, petrol - which if you fill up to the brim is around £50-90 or more every couple weeks. Then you'll have tax and all that jazz.
It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that people are leaving home older than they were 10+ years ago. Not so sure about the US housing market, but the UK's is still a damn arm and a leg for a first time buyer too. |
Damn! Rent where I live; for a one bedroom/one bathroom apartment is between $900-$1200/month (not including any utilities [water/gas/electric]. That's about £550-£750ish right? (forgive me if I'm off, I'm using the conversion rate for '09) It costs ~$40 to fill up my vehicle and I have to do that at least once a week. Edit: Realized you were talking about sharing a 6 bedroom house. That costs about $800/month here, which isn't that much more than over in the UK Edit #2: I have a lot of things to complain about (I'm generally a pretty b*tchy person, but whatever.) I hate how the PS3 controller feels, The plastic seems cheap and the 'holes' (for lack of a better term) where R2 and L2 rest, are too sharp, and leave my hands a bloody mess when I'm done playing... I can't wait to get a Pro E controller. This post has been edited by rodneythesavior on Friday, Apr 6 2012, 04:18

| QUOTE (TheShogunOfHarlem @ Friday, Apr 6 2012, 20:14) | I would be surprised that this hadn't been cover yet: Teenage boys still wearing their pants half off of their a$$es. What decade are we in? 1990? I thought that trend died when I graduated from High School. But then again Kids today could dress to save their lives much less abandon tired ass fashion statements from my era.
Young men pull your f*ckin' pants up.
|
Oh yeah cause your generation know all about the latest fashion trends. And why should they anyway, they can dress however they like, the less you care about fashion the better IMO. Personally I can't stand wearing jeans above the waist, it makes them feel too small and it's just uncomfortable for me. So natrually I pull them down a little, not to any extremes but enough to where they're slightly baggy. I'm not trying to be "hip" or "gangsta" by doing so, but if that's how you choose to judge people who dress like that, then personally I couldn't give a f*ck, I'm sure I could list all the things bad about you or anyone else's clothes but that would be a waste of my time.

Because you rage like a 12-year-old and are possibly one of the most aggressive people on this forum? I seem to remember you wanting everyone "dead" in the GTA:V section for believing any leaks. So no, I wouldn't find it hard to believe you're a homophobe because you're an incredibly hateful individual | QUOTE (sivispacem @ Friday, Apr 6 2012, 20:26) | | QUOTE (TheShogunOfHarlem @ Friday, Apr 6 2012, 21:14) | | I also hate when people speak with informal/improper English in professional settings. I want to pull my ears out of my head when I see this happen. |
I could have punched on of my colleagues for saying "rock up whenever you like" to a client in a meeting. |
Is said person ex-military by any chance? This post has been edited by Kent Traffic Cop on Saturday, Apr 7 2012, 04:02

Is said person ex-military by any chance? | Oddly enough, no. I think it's a colloquialism they picked up from some of the other people (who are ex-forces) but they generally tone that kind of speech down when dealing with business clients.

You know who has the right to complain? Not you you selfish little emo faggots. People all over the world are going through a 10000× more bullsh*t then you pricks are going through. If any of you could even fathem what it feels like to be starving with hundreds of thousands of different types of bacteria and viruses eating you from the inside out then I would show simpathy, but you know what? I don't know what that feels like and neither do you imbiciles because if you did you'd be Ethiopian!!! Now quit crying like a little bitch over the "sad-looking kittens and puppies commercial" or whatever it is you douches do in your spare time...thats what really grinds my gears.... |
I was going to write something like this but I found your speech better.
And to add to that.
If my daughter brought an emo boyfriend my first expression will be "I never knew you were a lesbian" |
what an immature rant. you can't label people using words like that, you think it takes courage to dress differently and get stick for it every day? I do, if these people are complaining about their lives maybe its because they get bullied everyday by people like yourselves who have nothing better to do but judge them by their appearance and music tastes. EMO is just short for emotion/emotional and was first used for hardcore rock bands that mixed heavy music with melody and emotional lyrics. Its not about wearing tight jeans, putting on eyeliner and having a wearily pessimistic view of the world , that came from the new wave scene and developed into goth. kids go through sh*t like this to find out who they are in life, these scenes are usually fake. And for your information ethiopia is not the only poverty stricken country in the world and starvation is not the only hardship, its spectacularly sanctimonious to ignore anyone's plea for help if they aren't suffering like that. | Okay dude, -1st off, this is the rant portion of off topic posts, most of the rants on here are said out of anger, re-grudgingly or for humor. -2nd I didn't mean to "label" anyone, I just meant to use the word Emo to describe people that think their problems are bigger than other people. These peopel usually get emotional about their problems, hence forth, Emo. -3rd. Immature? Buddy you're on a forum full of video game fans and underaged people trying to post the stupidest possible thing they can. The world is made up of immaturity. In fact there is only a thin line between "Mature" and "Immature". Some people say playing GTA is immature, but would you agree with them? I wouldn't because being passionate about something isn't immature at all, and I am passionate about video games and speaking my mind when I find it necessary. Just because you don't agree with my views doesn't make me immature, it makes you just as bigotive as I. -4th- I have a lot of relatives from that era, and according to them(people who've actually lived through those ages), Emo evolved from goth, not the other way around. -5th, I actually agree with you. Kids do need to go through transitions to find out who they are, but if they don't get a little push from a person like me then they may be stuck in that phase for a good portion of their life, and they'd find out later that that's not really what they want. If I didn't get bullied in school I wouldn't be as mentally strong as i am today, I'd be a pussy. (Btw I've never been a bully, I've always been the one getting bullied. the only difference between me and some other kids is that I fought back) -6th, where in my rant did i say that Ethiopia is the only poverty stricken country on the planet? Do you think I'm retarded? -7th, I don't ignore anyone's plea for help. I'm in debt 40K right now for college and most of that money has gone to keeping a roof over my wife's head and keeping my mom and little brother not starved. I know you didn't necessarily imply that I don't help out people, but I'm at least trying to do something with my life and help out as many people as i can. what do you do with your life? I want to know....
