Find out who your fellow forumers support

I love the hype and feel of Fa cup week. The biggest tie of this round is undoubtedly the clash between the two best teams in Enggland and it promises to be a cracker.

Lets hope it lives up to it's billing and gives us all the thrills and spills that we have come to love with the Fa cup.

I predict a Man U victory. 2-1 seems on to me...

Ps.. I have a little question for AK.

Fancy a bet on it my friend the loser has to wear the respective sig until Monday if you lose.

If I lose...

Chelsea vs Man City Goals

Everton vs Watford Goals

Newcastle vs Wigan Goals

Pompey vs Blackburn Goals

Reading vs Middsbrough Goals

West Ham vs Charlton Goals

Good day of Premiership football yesterday, but the way the guys were going mental on Soccer Saturday about Campo's goal was a little OTT. I mean c'mon he didn't even hit the top corner!... tounge.gif

Did anyone else watch the Tottenham-Sheffield game today (yesterday for all you Euros)? Robbie Keane was incredible he first half. Really the whole team played very well, but Keane orchestrated everything beautifully. I don't really care for Spurs that much, but I'm just hoping Robbie can play like this in the Euro qualifiers for Ireland... lord knows they need it bored.gif

Hate to double post, but it's been over a day and no one has mentioned that Chelsea lost to Middlesbrough. I'm really surprised that they lost so early in the season, and that they lost to a team that wasn't even supposed to be a contender.

So, is Chelsea not going be dominant this year? Was this just a fluke and Chelsea will still run away with the title? Will Middlesbrough be a lot better than expected?

Let's get some discussion in here!

Until Chelsea get Cech back they'll be more vulnerable than usual at the back.

And as Makelele has been dropped in this 4-4-2 formation there isn't the cover they had last season.

A great win for Manchester City over Arsenal today, 1-0. Exciting match, but must be disappointing for the Gooner fans. tounge.gif

Premiership Goals - 26th August 2006

Goals from the Premiership games including Manchester United vs Watford, Manchester City vs Arsenal, Spurs vs Everton, Liverpool vs West Ham and Charlton vs Bolton.

Blackburn vs Chelsea Goals

Goals from the game between Blackburn and Chelsea which ended 2-0 to the boys from Stamford Bridge with a penalty from Frank Lampard and a great goal from Drogba.

Wednesday lost 1-0 today against Leeds, but the game was marred by totally sh*t refereeing. I mean this Steve Bennett bloke was supposed to be a Premiership referee yet he came out with some very sh*t decisions.

Thanks for posting the Blackburn v Chelsea goals Joey, I missed MOTD 2. Penalty looked a bit soft on Terry, but the refs have looked poor and worryingly so early in the season.

We drew again on Saturday, 1-1 at home to Preston. Looked comfortable until our keeper messed up and allowed a PNE shot under his body and into the back of the net sad.gif

Great post The Truth. Thanks for the input.

Just turned on the TV to watch Sunderland V West Brom game. Heard that Keano is at The Stadium of Light. 2 of the greatest ever Man U midfielders managing each club. Also heard that Kevin Phillips is playing for West Brom. Rofl. It's like musical chairs.

Best wishes to Roy Keane on his return to football. I feel sorry for the sh*tbags in the Sunderland dressing room.

I love transfer deadline day. Some crazy stuff happening today, that's for sure. Woodgate and Huth have completed their transfers to Middlesbrough, Ricardo Oliveira went to AC Milan with Vogel going the other way, Giuseppe Rossi added to Newcastle for a half year loan, Steed Malmbranque and Pascal Chimbonda headed for White Heart Lane, and most surprisingly Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano sign for West Ham! wow.gif

Still more to come too.

And the final transfer was the biggest: Ashley Cole to Chelsea for 5 million pounds and William Gallas. This move wasn't confirmed until an hour and a half after the deadline, but they had worked it out before hand.

Obviously Cole is world-class, but this deal could actually turn out to be pretty good for Arsenal I think. They still get a very good defender in Gallas, not to mention a nice amount of money. And hopefully with the wantaways Cole and Reyes gone (for Julio Baptista, another good move) the focus of the team will improve.

I am actually kinda sad to see Cygan go though. He always seemed to work hard and fill in well when needed.

Howdy fellas!!

Glad to see the back of Cole & Reyes. Both couldn't give a toss about the Arsenal, just money and status.

I'm confident we came out better than Real & Chelsea though. Yeah, we lost Europe's best left-back, but we've got 5million and arguably Europe's best centre-half (with the exception of Cannavaro). Then there's Reyes, a one-season wonder at Seville and little success at the Arsenal - in exchange for Brazil's powerhouse midfielder Julio Baptista... say no more.

Oh and apparently we've also bagged Brazil U-19 captain Denilson, a future replacement for Gilberto. Meant to be rather special - and at 18 years old I see this nothing other than another mega coup by Wenger!!

I don't rate Cole too much, not my favourite player in the world. Don't get me started on Reyes, they might have well as just played a donkey, they'd have got a better performance out of it.

Wenger has got a good coup?

Of course. I was following the transfers all day yesterday! It smells of somethin' rotten it does.

You do realise MSI can sell Tevez & Mascherano whenever they see fit? And then there's countless clauses in their contracts which'll allow bigger clubs the chance to buy the pair. Which obviously opens the door for Chelsea next summer - easy pickings.

Meh, nevermind.

Ask yourself who owns corinthians?

Ask yourself who the financial knowledge reckons owns Media Sports Investment?

Badri Patarkatsishvili, owner of the Georgian champions Dinamo Tbilisi, is the wealthiest man in Georgia and is bankrolling his country's bid for the 2014 winter Olympics.

Now ask yourself who his bessie mate is?

Roman Abramovich, Boris Berezovsky, his exiled fellow Russian tycoon, and Badri have frequently been linked with the £18million takeover of Corinthians, the Sao Paulo club, last year. Badri described the Chelsea owner as 'a person of integrity' who 'has his own sense of pride and dignity'. Badri added: 'He is the man who keeps his word. And I always maintain warm relations with him.'

Source

So, basically, Roman and his bitch own corinthians, and also tevez' management company. West Ham have signed a deal with Tevez' management company (and therefore Roman) to borrow him for a year.

It's clearly a way for chelsea to get the player to england, to secure permits etc, and to get them premiership experience, before "buying" the players, from themselves, with themselves as their agents, next season...
