For all those having problems with EAC I think I have found the problem.

I was having the problem with an access violation happening when I tried to convert the music files so I went onto the EAC homepage and found this.

"When I try to start EAC or to compress/decompress, I immedately get an Access Violation. Why does this happen?

Usually this error occurs when not using the ASPI interface of Adaptec. So try at first to install it on your computer. When you use Windows NT/2000, the native SCSI interface could also make some problems, so also install the Adaptec interface in that case.
Second, it has also happened that an illegal audio codec let EAC crash on enumerating all audio codecs. In that case try to disable (not deinstall) each codec and try again, you could enable the codecs then again piece for piece to find out which one causes the problem. Mainly some versions of LAME and OggVorbis ACM codecs cause this behaviour (included in e.g. Nimo Codec Pack)."

I check which codecs were installed on my system, found that the LAME mp3 codec was there and removed it, when I re-ran EAC it then worked fine.

You can check which codecs are installed in the system by looking in the "Sound, video and game Controllers" part of the device manager.

Here is a step by step guide. (for windows xp)

Step 1: Open Control Panel and double click the System icon.

Step 2: Select the Hardware and click the Device Manager Button.

Step 3. Expand the "Sound, Video and Game Controllers" list. Double click on the Audio Codecs item and click properties to see a list of installed codecs.

Step 4: Select any of the codecs and click properties. (start with the ones they suggest i.e LAME)

Step 5: Click "do not use this codec" and click ok.

Step 6: Run EAC and see if it is now working, if not try disabling a different codec.

Hope this helps people.

That is odd, are you sure it is a GTA save, as it looks from here like a save made on a Japanese version.

Ok guys, 2 things, what's going on here?

When I create a folder for custom tracks on VCS, do I put the custom track folder in the other folder (save folder) or right beside it?

What seemed to take forever, since I didn't have a CD on it, I bought an MP4 file on itunes. I used a program to convert it to mp3. Then I used EAC to convert it to .toc, changed the file extension manually to .gta, found the custom track folder for LCS on my PSP, put it in there, and viola it works. There is no CD for that track because its from Relapse Deluxe edition (Bonus song, no CD)

Anyway, after downloading EAC I noticed my rockstar custom track logo (That I downloaded from rockstar) now has an EAC logo on it and when I click it both the custom soundtrack from rockstar that I had downloaded previously and the other EAC program, both pulled up the EAC program, even when I clicked on the rockstar one. Confused, I re-downloaded rockstar custom tracks, but this time *BOTH* EAC and the rockstar custom tracks I downloaded were rockstar custom tracks with the logo's! EAC was gone. It's like when I download one they replace each other. What's going on here?

I know this is officially a necrobump, but the Exact Audio Copy PSP Edition download links are both dead (MegaUpload for obvious reasons, the Codemasters one because Codemasters stopped hosting)...Help?
