I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. 6.3 liter V12. 510 (or so) ft-lb of torque and redlines at 8000.

Has anyone noticed a lot of the races on Top Gear seem to be staged? Because in most of the races, the two competitors seem to come extremely close to each other at the very end of the race, every time.

Pretty much every single minute of the show is staged, mate.

@stingray, I felt I should have since it was just discussed on Top Gear. Their news on such vehicles is generally a bit behind picking it up. I've just been quite busy with things for some time, and my numerous magazine subscriptions ran out lol.

Don't mean to keep going on about the F12 Berlin Etta, but you must watch this video of it. Such a beautiful vehicle and the noise that v12 makes will induce large semen deposits in your underwear. I particularly love the opening on the hood/front fender area, drawing air around the side for some added front end down force. Aesthetically pleasing and functional at the same time.

Does GB not observe daylight saving time? Usually the show is over at 4 EST. Or maybe it was just in a different time slot today.

I've got a mate with a seriously knackered 5-door Focus 2.0. He's got it up for sale for £200 but I could probably get it free. Having seen that episode, I rather fancy it as a cheap autocross/rallycross slag.

Depends, for driving around a track yeah i'd have the light as f*ck overpowered Escort, for commuting around the city i'll have the very comfortable reasonably powerful Mondeo, in an ideal world i'd drive a nice new BMW M5 so i could have the best of both worlds but it's not an ideal world as you well know driving somebodies scrap metal.

A bit late posting here but. That ralleycross or whatever it was looked brilliant to watch as a spectator, let alone giving it a go in some cheap high powered everyday car.

That 59' (I think) 250 California was pure sex and I do once again envy those guys and how they are able to get away with driving a car worth ~5.5 mil pounds / 8.6 mil USD. Aside from the money and the ill-fitting roof that car was a masterpiece to behold in the audio department too. I do have to admit to nursing a semi during that segment though, mostly from the look of the car but also the noise was amazing. Oh my when he dropped it a gear was magnificent. smile.gif

I must say I felt that the show was a decent way to end the latest series, meanwhile TG: US is rather hit or miss yet. I do find however that taking segments TG: UK have done and tweaking them doesn't always work great for us. But I suppose they are trying to find some proper footing for the show and the audience

I love the fact that TGUSA is getting better and better. Just got caught up on the latest episode (half way through now) and watching the grandmas drive the Porsche, Lambo, and Bentley is gold. The one old lady that arrived driving a hoverround geriatric scooter fell getting into the Lambo. Damn near pissed myself.
