I enter in a server ip and port and start the vc game, it shows the GTA Vice City loading screen (the one before the menu) without the opening videos and then I can only launch a single player game, even when I launch with the vcmp exe. It won't let me play multiplayer. I've tried full install, minimal install, regular cds, noCDs, everything and multiplayer doesn't wrok.

might be a silly question, but are you using the button in vc-mp or just launching vc from the start menu?

and have you more than 1 folder cainting a vc install and are mixing things up? confused.gif

I have 4 VC installs. (This one for VCMP, one for GTALC, one for mods, and one for testing stuff) And I open the VCMP client, enter the port and ip, then my nickname and press launch game. Takes me into single player. My friend also has this problem.

Nevermind I figured it out. It was Cowpat's MIssion Select/Gravity d3d8.dll that was causing it. A SAMP developer Luke helped me figure that out, so let me point this out: If you have this problem, remove all d3d8.dll files and it will fix it.
