This tutorial will teach you how to insert custom vehicles in San Andreas converted from PC. This is really easy to do!

What you will need:
Txd Workshop 3.5
IMG Tool
A modded xbox with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on the HDD.

Ok, let's get started.

1. Download a car of your choice, I am using the Hummer H2 by Greengiant, Puddingpanzer.

2. Open up the landstal.txd in txdworkshop, is should look like this:



Then hit save.

3. Open up gta3.img (GTA SA/Models/gta3.img) with the IMG Tool and hit f2 (find) and find the landstal.txd and landstal.dff, select landstal.txd, right click and select replace. Do the same for landstal.dff. Then go commands -> rebuild archive.



4. Open handling.cfg (GTA SA/Data/handling.cfg) and replace the landstal line with the one usually provided in the readme. Save.

5. Then open carcols.dat (GTA SA/Data/carcols.dat) and replace the landstal line with the one usually provided in the readme. Save.



6. Now ftp into your xbox and search where gta is stored on the HDD.
Then replace : handling.cfg (GTA SA/Data/handling.cfg), carcols.dat (GTA SA/Data/carcols.dat) and gta3.img (GTA SA/models/gta3.img).

Clear your cache (x,y,z) an boot up San Andreas with your new cars!

Did you clear your cache? Drives x,y,z and in E->CACHE.

when you replace cars in the gta3.img with img tool be sure you REPLACE, do not delete and add cars, but REPLACE. make sure u change the txd and dff names to exactly what they are in gta3.img

That is mainly the problem.

Woops, I deleted then added. I will try it again later

Nope, they just wont appear, it is the same problem I have with PC, I cant see them drive around

The cars never appears at all ! Not even on the marked spawn places. I don't know at all what I'm doing wrong. I did exactly as it said in your guide.

Hmmm, how big is the car (dff and txd)? Also, you have to REPLACE, NOT DELETE THEN ADD.

Ok, been trying this for hours. My models work on PC just fine. I've relaced the 2 files, and rebuilt. Everytime I hit start, when it tells me to start it freezs. I've deleted temps, and it still does it. I've even put a copy of the img in the temp folder. I'm running ExoX. Any way there are other temps?

Nice one, ill give it a shot.
This is actually almost the same as the VC Xbox tut, only in vc you can delete and add.(Delete and add is overall better).

A modded Xbox is a xbox which has been modified(by an extra chip,or other methods) to run games from the Xbox Hard-disk, not the dvd's. Also you can play copied games with it, aswell as programs made by Xbox modders.

EDIT:Works pretty good, only with some replaces the game crashes.

alot of the cars i downloaded Are making my game freeze when they come into view. I cleared the cache so what is happening? Also the Readme's for the cars are saying i need to change something in carmods too. Do I do that?

ummm arent you suppose to have some kind of modding chip to do so? if you dont wouldint it crash your game and make san andreas unuseble.And does this tut work with PS2? and this isint the first tutorial.There are TONS of xbox and ps2 modding tutorials.
