[da gta master]

In this topic I am going to take the screenshots we have of Liberty City Stories and compare them to screenshots of GTA3.

Not much has changed here, in LCS the trees are in exactly the same positions as GTA3 and from the look of them are still not solid except for the hard one in the left of the picture. The car in LCS does not look like a car from GTA3 but could possibly be a moonbeam.[/SIZE]

In GTA3 it is Luigis sex club 7, but in LCS it is Paulies Revue bar or whatever. The actual building hasnt changed, only the signs have, apart from that nothing has changed. The car in LCS looks a bit like a bobcat but I cant be sure but even from the front of the car, the detail on cars has changed a lot from GTA3.

In GTA3 this was just a normal road in St Marks, in LCS they have added a new door, plants and railings for a mission in the game. The building to the right of the photo has not been changed at all.

The triad fish factory isnt here in LCS and the bridge in the background is under construction which is probably the reason why you wont be able to get to Staunton Island in the begining. Steps can be seen in LCS which probably lead from the road to the harbour/docks.

Nothing much has changed in the surroundings (builings), the posters to the right of the photo have not changed or has the building. The thing that has changed here is the police car. The GTA3 police car has a white strip where the doors are but in LCS the top half of the car (around the windows) is white buy the lower half is black.

The ammunation is in exactly the same place as when it was in GTA3. Nothing around Ammunation seems to have chaged. The only thing that has changed is the Ammunation sign. The Ammunation sign looks more like the Ammunation sign in GTA Vice City.

The Pay'n'spray also like the ammunation, is in the same place. No changes have been made to it or any buildings around it. The car in the picture is a Kuruma, which confirms that the Kuruma car will be in LCS.

In the Portland Hatbour next to the crane, there isnt a ferry, unlike in GTA3. The boxes and barrels have also gone. Also the huge cargo holders have gone. Nothing else seems to have changed.

The only thing that I can see here that has chnaged is... BIKES! Yes bikes are going to be in the game. And here we see Toni supporting a lobely PCJ or other model. Also you can see a bobcat in the background which confirms that the bobcat will be in the game.

Found a bigger picture of the moonbeam in LCS, its being put on now, unluckily its got the bottom of the LCS cartoon plane on it

Lol, but they havent changed much, i looked though my mag and looked at the posters in gta3, they are exactly the same in LCS. Dont you think they would be different or just not there?

I resent that.

R* are the farthest from lazy if anything. I mean, they had to redo the whole city to resize it for the PSP, and gear it towards an earlier time period. Sure, it's a city they've already done, but it gave them a chance to go back and 'tweak' things they didn't like in GTA3, now that they've done other GTA games. They are working hard as hell on this game, hence why it will be the best title for the Play Station Portable.

BTW, in my opinion, the car in the LCS pic looks like a SUV. I think. Maybe.

OK later ill be adding more comparisons, I also need some help from you guys, does anyone know where these places are?

The second one is on Staunton island. The park is to the left and the shopping area is to the right. it's that orange coloured road that runs through the covered shopping area. I always used to look out for it as following that road takes you towards Asuka's place. I was comparing that area to the LCS shots the other day. I didn't take any pics though.

The top one maybe the north east corner of Belville park, but I don't think it is.

Actually it's Now and Then seeing as GTA3 is 2001 and LCS is 3 Years before GTA3

Looks like some construction cranes in the background.

Edit: This tree and part of the callahan bridge seem to match in this picture.

It's the view from inside the Triad Fish Factory in GTAIII.

Is it possible that the Callahan bridge is under contruction?

That actually looks like a strong possibility. Since if you look at those triangular truss type things on the suspension tower you can see 2 of them, and there seems to be some little poll type things on top of them. While in LCS you can only see one of the triangular trusses and the poll things are missing. If that's the exact place that is.

That's a cool find though.

Thats exactly right. but looking at the GTA 3 picture the LCS screenshot was taken directly next to the wall you can see in the distance on the GTA 3 pic

EDIT: the bridges being under construction is probably the reason why you wont be able to get to the other islands

I have never seen those screenshots, anyway today ill be changing my images to imageshack because the thing im using has rubbish bandwidth, ill try to do more screenshots.

OK I finished the last comparison. Tomorow I will be changing all comparisons into 3 different Categories, the categories are:

Surroundings
Pedestrians
Cars

As more screenshots of LCS are leaked into magazines there will be more categories

Nice comparisons. Don't strain yourself though, only a few more months and hopefully we'll be able to compare for ourselves. Woot!
