Think - they are too similar. GTA 2 is set in unknown time, because website is saying 2013, and in the radio from this game it says that they are before millenium - so 1999.
He has no girlfriend there in GTA 2. OF COURSE History in this game differs, but person is just the same.

Look. He has no girlfriend, right? He lost Catalina after GTA III Thinking logically if he has no girlfriend it must be 2003 - in gta 2 movie his age is 28. In GTA 3 he is 27 and in SA he is 18

It's not a "wrong GTA 2 picture", it was made by Rockstar.

Actually, this is the right pic, because Claude Speed is 39 in GTA 2, you can see it when the Zaibatsu Corporation is checking his profile on the PC screen, and activate the Assassin to killl Claude.

Hmmm. He is unlike his movie\intro counterpart which incidentally looks somewhat like Claude from GTA III.

But still, how do you know this is him? The age thing doesn't prove anything.

I do realize but even though they are different Claude Speed is in GTA2 era, and R* them self said that GTA2 characters wont be in GTA3 that's one of the clues that they are different

Yeah Claude from gta2/3/SA is meant to be the same person. To people going "omg how can he be the same person" if he was 19 in san andreas and 30 in GTA3 he would be 43 in GTA2 maybe he was frozen blah blah blah" It doesn't f*cking matter, hes not a real person he doesn't have a real life and he doesn't age.

Do you really think rockstar plans this sh*t? Like they have their own GTA bible and follow it to the letter? No. They were making GTA3, and wanted a main character, someone who doesn't talk and with no personality so you can feel like the player. They'd already made Claude for GTA2 and figured what the hell lets just make it that guy again. That's all there is to it. So rockstars chronology doesn't match up 100%, who cares.

Not true. GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City & Vice City Stories are all part of what's commonly known as the 'III Canon', where all the games' history, events and characters are somehow linked in one way or another. IV wasn't, even if there are references to it in game, mere throwbacks.

Claude from III was probably named after the character in 2 purely for convenience.

If he does exist in GTA3 then why doesn't anything from GTA2 appear in GTA3
